As I reported the other day, Nebraska had discovered Chattanooga (Tenn.) Brainerd DB Joseph Norwood and began to kick the tires on possibly offering and bringing him in for an official visit for this weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 160-pound athlete had told me Scott Frost and Erik Chinander had talked to him about visiting him today. However, I just touched base with Norwood, and he let me know that the Huskers did not end up making it out to see him today. The coaches informed him they would not be able to make it out to see him.
"No sir, they did not make it to see me today," Norwood said. "They got another guy so they don't have a spot for me anymore."
Nebraska currently has defensive back commitments from Cam Jones, Braxton Clark, Deontai Williams and CJ Smith. They are still in the running for defensive backs Taiyon Palmer and Cameron Taylor both of which have already visited Lincoln. Then, Florida DB Ken Montgomery is set to visit this weekend.
The feeling is NU would like to add two out of Palmer, Taylor, and Montgomery. They must be feeling pretty good about their chances of being able to do that which is why they did not feel the need to bring in Norwood.
