No ill will towards him. Hopefully dude can latch on at a lower level program and get a mental reset.
Best situation for J. Sims and NU - a fresh start needed for all.
Don't wish him ill, but best for both parties probably if he wants to start.
The guy came a tried. We should never denigrate that. Lost his position and didn’t become a squeaky wheel. Good on him!
He likely fumbled the paperwork when attempting to submit.
I hope he finds a place that allows him to be successful.
Hope he goes somewhere and lights it up. By all accounts he was well liked on the team and did everything the right way. It just didn't work out for him and was mentally shot.

THIS!!!!! He didn't outwardly pout and quit, or cause problems...high marks for that...
He represented Nebraska with class at the B1G interviews and all during the year. I never heard a negative thing come from him which can't be said for some "fans." I thank him, wish him nothing but success and hope he passes for over 3 K, 20 TDs and 3 Ints and 0 fumbles.
Seeing him interact with HH on the sidelines after a couple big plays HH made tells me what I need to know about the kind of guy he is. He will do fine in life.
Fascinating case study here. Interceptions happen - whether a bad pass or receiver miscommunication or not running the correct route, but how can the number of fumbles be explained? Is it mental? A confidence thing? Protecting the football is learned early. I don’t see how a player makes it to the College Level without a lot of confidence??!!
Regardless, I hope Sims gets it figured out because he has shown flashes of greatness and can be great if he figures out how to cut down on the turnovers!

He showed good sportsmanship on the sideline. But yeah, this is best for both sides. I'm not sure how or why he had so many issues with turnovers, but it wasn't working.
Best of luck Mr. Sims! And thank you for playing your ass off. You were a great team player, took your demotion with grace, and came out of it all with your dignity intact. It just did not work out.
This would have been a bitter pill to swallow and yet he seemed to handle it with grace. Best wishes to him at wherever and whatever he decides to do next.
Kid has character which is more than I can say for those crapping on him.

Not just the fumbles but not falling on them. Would be interesting to sit down, have a few beers and get his take.
