Pre-season BIG 10 basketball rankings

Must not understand the talent on this team is substantial.
Past history and 3? new starters. Wait, new starters might be a positive. Pre-season rankings mean nothing when there's as much turnover as there is in basketball. For some teams one key injury spells doom for their whole season.

Hate to say it, but that's the spot I'd put them. Until the team and Miles prove something. Too many unknowns, and too many unproven transfers being relied on for this season.

In terms of talent, I think we're higher than 13th....but when you factor in coaching and experience, 13th is probably about right.

Until proven otherwise I think the 8-13 teams are pretty interchangeable. Even Wiscy is a question mark but you know they will always be decent.

I agree way too early to put any stock in pre-season rankings, besides Iowa is closer to top 5.

The so-called "experts" say that every year. Then Nebraska shocks the world and finishes 12th. Or sometimes even 11th. Shows what they know...
This sets up nicely for Miles. If the Huskers do finish 11th or 12th, the SuperFans who've convinced themselves Miles is their BFF can gush about how the team exceeded expectations.

It’s epidemic... we always have ‘talent’ according to much of the Nebraska fan base, but yet put few on all conf teams and the next level. Alrighty

Problem is everyone else (including NW and Penn State) has talent too.

Given the fact that all of Moos' incentive pay is tied to football, my guess is that Miles skates by another year unless Nebrasketball really stinks things up. Which is still quite possible given recent history.

It could also speak to the depth of the conference. The writers must know of the talent we have. Maybe they just don't trust our coach can make use of it.

Yes, but you missed my sarcasm. Doesn’t anyone else tire of the many that site click-bait sites the give us *ratings.

Hard to believe we ever lose a game in any spirt when we have such outstanding talent

Oh I got your sarcasm. I have a bad feeling how this season will go. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Call me an idiot, but I think Nebrasketball will trot more talent on the court than they had in 13-14. Miles needs to win at least 18+ games with this squad.

Seems like just another Husker hoops year.
This is so true. I cannot and will not get excited about Husker basketball until we actually do something to deserve it. We are the most pathetic D1 basketball program in the history of D1 basketball. Miles needs to win this year or hit the road.

Why, is Wyatt Mazour starting at the point?

(This is sarcasm. Folks have been missing it in this thread.)
