I'm not against kids being able to leave....and my concerns about the subject have less than zero to do with my favorite team or other fans.
I want everyone to succeed and live their best life, even people I disagree with...the world functions a LOT better the more successful people are...better money management, better family units, less crime, etc etc etc...
When you make it so easy to quit something so important at such a young age, they will. Can you honestly say you think that leads to better adulting later in life, or worse? I know what the answer is.
So let kids decide where they want to go to college, then give them a do-over if they have second thoughts, eligible to play immediately....but on the second transfer, you sit for a year, no exceptions unless you move up or down a level....and you have 5 years to play 4..no more 6th year Seniors no exceptions.
That would be my proposal...and if it could be studied and tracked for the next 20 years, and do it honestly, the kids who didn't quit and transferred less, will be leading better lives by a wide margin.
