It’s official: there are no current rules for CFB. Players can literally just transfer at any time and be eligible immediately. Can you imagine if Patrick Mahones left the Chiefs on his own during training camp and went and joined the Broncos?
This is just crazy. They have got to figure out some basic NIL/transfer rules…

Life is full of loopholes. He took advantage of it. Crazy how under the radar this was for how highly touted he was.

The kid literally left school - made his own contacts to find a better fit and switched schools to be a part of the team. None of this is easy vs putting your name in the portal and having everyone and their dog flying you around to wine and dine you to join. I admire his effort and ingenuity and most of all his blocking ability.

I'm so happy he ended up at NU. I am fairly certain with his addition he is already our best blocking tight end and hasn't even played a snap yet

Look no farther than Gebbia. Kid thinks he should be the starter after fall ball, doesn't get the top job and the next week shows up at some new school eligible to play right away. KO/Punt returner, WR, TE, etc., are positions that can be learned on a preliminary basis very quickly.
