I didn't mean to stir anything up, I just like to read a lot of Husker news and updates and that was something I came across. I hope they aren't true as I think with Riley and Langs, he could turn into a very good QB. Competition brings out the best in a lot of people and I hope that he wants to fight and compete for the starting job next year. As someone mentioned, at worst he would be #2 and you have to think that he sees that as an opportunity. I agree that he doesn't seem unhappy on the sidelines. Hope it is exactly what I said, a rumor. Sure would be nice to have Lee, POB, Gebbia for a few years!!!!
Thats for sure; and Oregon with all their muti-star players - they have given two and even three high starred qb scholarships in a year : and look at their issues. GBR
The only place I ever read anything like this was on a message board like this. News flash, it doesn't have to be truth to be posted here. Anyone can have an opinion and think it is granite stone fact. So where did you "come across" this piece of knowledge?
I read it on Twitter from a Husker writer. If I remember correctly it said something along the lines of "Don't be surprised if POB decides to transfer" That's all. Sorry, I won't post anything like this anymore, I should know better that rumors are that until proven. My bad... GBR
Sounds like about exactly what tons of college freshmen go through. It's tough at 18 to be thinking about what will pay dividends for you when you're 20 and 22 years old. TBH I'd be more surprised if there are freshmen who DON'T feel like this at midterm time. He shouldn't make emotional decisions right now, ride it out and play spring ball. He knew it was Tommy's show this year. Spring and summer will bring his chance to battle for the job.

True, he goes from being the top dog on campus in high school to the bottom of the ladder in college. It's an adjustment for most guys getting that reality check at the next level.
College by itself is a huge adjustment. I saw a lot of people burn out, head home, drop out, etc. And those weren't even football players.
I'm sure it's an incredible grind to be doing all that and then playing football besides.
Then it should be easy to link the tweet. Or, tell us which Husker writer.

We all have made mistakes on this board. I have had my share of some gigantic mistakes. So I guess I will give you the benefit of the doubt.
However... people also have a right to be upset at your "mistake". Starting a thread like this can start false rumors about some important players in our program. There is a scent of "troll" in such posts. So people rightly react strongly when false junk like this gets posted.
I agree and again apologize for my error... I do not want to troll on here I love this board and having discussions with fellow Husker fans. I love the Huskers and the direction we are headed right now. When I started the thread I was honestly looking for answers as I was shocked to see that written, that's why I asked if anyone knew more. Pretty sure I've never done that, pretty sure. Except for maybe those, 19, or mayyyyybe 20 times that I lost my cool, and those other 14 or 15 times I was a complete jackass, but that would be it, not counting that one time I called a mod an insensitive idiot. So....whatev's!

If POB transfers its because the depth ahead of him is much better. He should not be afraid of Tanner Lee. Lee could easily win the spot next year to start out the season and lose the job due to poor performance. Lee isn't a shoe in to be the next Tom Brady. He's always been impressive in practice but his game stats are terrible. His QBR is very low and he throws a ton of picks. That could all change with our coaching staff coaching TL up and I hope it does.
However, if POB is TL's back-up next season, POB has to know TL's history in games and that things could easily change when he plays in actual games. POB has to realize that Gebbia isn't going to come in and play. Gebbia knows that he needs to get bigger to play and that's what he wants as well. POB has a very good shot at being our QB for a very long time. If he transfers before next season, it's because he's a kid and like most kids, don't see the big picture or don't think long term

Again, I did not mean for this to be this way... When I was reading I thought it was written by Brain Towle. Who is a writer for @CornNation. I simply saw Brian and thought it was Brian Towle and got him confused with the other guy (Bryan Moore) who is obviously NOT a writer. Again that is why I didn't link the comment because when I went back the next day to find it I couldn't find it in his tweets, but for good reason as I was looking at the wrong Brian/Bryan. I think it has more to do with the way you sometimes treat others on the board. I don't have a problem with you even though we have disagreed before, but I've read some of your posts and they come across rather aggressive. Which is fine. But that is where the idea/reputation is coming from.
I "treat" one poster with disrespect, and he's more than earned it. This thread is a prime example as to the reasoning.

It's a fairly big deal with the false rumor he started. Dude has since owned it, majority have moved on but you're looking for attention.
