The Suh Complex Thursday morning featured fast, furious and loud rock as the Huskers continued their summer conditioning. “It’s something different all the time,” said Mark Philipp, Nebraska’s first-year head football strength coach. “Sometimes it’s rap. Sometimes, the music’s country, but today it was rock because these new uniforms really do rock. The players were excited. They like the idea of a fresh start. The new gear is sweet, and it's sleek. Love the helmets, the jerseys...the whole thing!
“Black on black is bold, man,” Phillip said. “It makes that sharp scarlet color really stand out. When I looked at it, I liked it right off the bat, and the more I thought about it, the more I liked it. This is the best alternative uniform I’ve ever seen...makes you want go out and make the playoffs. Black on black's clean. It’s inspiring. And I really do think it rocks!”
