Like all of you, I've watched our running game diminish significantly over the past several seasons. Ameer was great, but let's face it, he made a lot of yards other backs wouldn't have.
I have a very different feel for the running game this season. First, we have four very capable backs who all bring something to the table. Second, I believe our line will be better than last season. It may not bring back memories of the 90s but I don't see Conrad being thrown back 3 or 4 yards regularly. Third, and most important, defenses will undoubtedly have to defend more than the run. I highly doubt we'll consistently see 9 guys in the box.
