Fellow professional investors, I'm growing increasingly concerned that it may be time to run for the hills for awhile.
I'm loathe to try and time markets as that typically doesn't end well, but it feels like the downside risks over the next 24 months far outweigh the upside opportunity. What do other thinks?
- Trade war issues accelerating.
- Fed raising interest rates to get back to a normalized level - at least two more rate hikes likely this year.
- Currently in the 9th year of economic expansion (2nd longest in US history) which isn't likely to go much longer, simply from a traditional business cycle perspective.
- Equity valuations high by historical standards, which will be increasingly problematic as interest rates increase.
