This election will divide the country even more. Its looking like Biden will be declared winner by the media, then it will go to the supreme court and Trump has an advantage. If Trump wins a contested election the divide will be worse than ever. I see more unrest and potential civil war (not with guns but with rioting, more censorship, and a battle for peoples minds). We're going to get the worst possible result.
Not sure of any Constitutional scenario in which the Supreme Court picks the president but I think Pol Pot did something like that back in the 60’s.

Your first mistake would be listening to the media with out heavy eye rolling ( see future V.P. )

Wait until Harris takes over.

All celebrities on both sides are full of shit. I think most who live in the US realize how awesome our country is and how good they have it.
Most except the libs who want to destroy it like, you know, thing, dark winter Biden

I am really loving the Liberal media wanting a "kumbaya" moment with Conservatives now that it appears Biden will win the election. Seems like only a few short years ago that they lost their minds when Trump won and proceeded to put the country through a shit storm of media bias, Russia collusion and impeachment.

Now they want to be best buddies and "hug it out".

I am proud of what Trump accomplished in his four years - low unemployment, renegotiated trade deals, rocking economy (pre COVID), Middle East peace accord, First Step Act, etc.

I will certainly accept whatever outcome is to be, but I don't need any lectures from the media.

Were you really loving the high deficits? The high cost of health care?

Is “coming together” a bad thing? We are all Americans. This isn’t Nebraska vs Oklahoma in a football game. The amount of fear stoking and lies spread on this board alone is troubling.

Elections run in cycles. For periods of time, the Democrats are in charge. Alternatively, there are periods of Republican leadership. It’s been going on this way for the history of this great country. Life continues on and we should all be cheering for collective success.
after what the left did for the last 4 years? we're just supposed to forget about the constant witch-hunt and now get along?

hmm.. we see how the left acts when they don't get their way.

I seriously doubt you will see the same behavior from the right, but coming together isn't something most of us have any interest in doing.

health insurance was at least optional under Trump. It was a joke since Obamacare was implemented

Optional health insurance is not a good idea to keep an economy growing at a health pace. If whole swaths of people get sick, it affects everyone. Like covid -19. You won't contribute so why should I contribute? Even I did contribute, the amount of funds needed would be far less than necessary.

So we should all bend over and take it up the ass?

This collective mindset can go ****-off.
Especially when the dictates are one sided.

I say we outlaw fast food to keep the public healthy. Next person says smoking. Next person says....
At what point does it end?

YOU are going to pay for people without health insurance no matter what. you can help pay for health insurance and hope it helps to keep them healthier or you can help pay for it by paying inflated prices for your healthcare costs. either way the system will make you pay for those who can't. the ONLY question is what is actually the best way to help fund those who can't afford it. having a bunch of people without health insurance just means you pay $10 for an aspirin in the hospital instead of $5

Trump voters, elected rep AOC wants to put you on the naughty list. Starting to feel like Germany in the 1930's. Remind me who the Nazis are in America?

Very Nazi-esque

If the DEMS get the presidency despite widespread corruption, they will lose the house and senate in large numbers in 2 years. Three reasons for that:
1. Most independents will see right through the corruption
2. They will throw Biden under the bus and the least likeable person in history then assumes the presidency.
3. She will destroy the economy, and the party in power historically loses seats during congressional elections. Mark it down if that happens.

If for some reason Trump survives the court challenges, watch the voting rules be changed to prevent rampant fraud in the future. That's the dems biggest worry.
They cheated in front of us they will do this every election, a free and fair election is over thats the problem

Then you don't care about a healthy economy and a healthy populace.
Outlaw fast food? Are you a socialist?

Many conservatives support a single payer program to cut administrative waste. Do you ever get a bill for $ 0.00?
My wife and I do all the time.

I've come to really dislike the Democrats after the way they behaved toward Trump. Hate might be the better word. Was Trump a perfect? No. He could have made a few less argumentative tweets. But he accomplished A LOT for us the American people. He put the interests of America first which simply offended a woke liberal elite that is 99% of the media. They had ordained Hillary as president and expected the Republicans to have a weak candidate like Jeb Bush who had a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Trump redefined the Republican party as well. I'm proud of his efforts to extend the party to minorities (he lost the white male woke vote). He fought to restore the manufacturing base and I'm stunned those states didn't reward him more. He helped negotiate 4 landmark peace treaties for heaven's sake. He killed Baghdadi. Regardless of the media rant and the utter BS, he did more to handle COVID-19 and more effectively than for any pandemic. Operation Warp Speed has been the vaccine equivalent of the Manhattan project. It will deliver hopefully before he leaves office. He did so much in the face of unbelievable hostility that was totally baseless and unfair. Even before he took office they were engaged in an effort to sack his administration with what has been undeniably proven to be a cooked-up scandal led by Hillary. He dared to ask a foreign leader to look into what is undeniable corruption by a former VP's son while the former VP wasn't even running yet for president and which has 100% been shown to be corrupt, and was impeached for it. That was corruption plain and simple and there was never any grounds for the impeachment. Now the corrupt ones are going to be rewarded more. The Dems treatment of Kavanaugh was the absolute most despicable thing that I ever saw and I lost the last shred of respect for that party because of it. I will never vote for another Democrat because of it. I actually reregistered as a Republican after leaving the party because of Trump. Thank you 45 for everything you've done.

When your side burns, loots, and riots and kills innocent people after carrying on a bogus onvestigation to overturn an election for three years, while in the meantime attempting to ruin a mans life over false accustions from thirty hears ago...adding on the attacks on people for as little as wearing the wrong hat in public and smearing even 16 year olds.......you dont get to play the “nice” card. The cognitive dissonance of people like you is astounding.
What's an "onvestigation"? Quick thought on the MAGA hats. I agree with you that a-holes who call you out in public for expressing your views in a free and open society is lame as hell. Buuuuuut, let's be honest. You know as well as I that those MAGA hats, and most other Trump gear, is meant to be provocative.

You are proposing a socialist approach to healthcare where rights are striped and the collective is favored over the individual.
My suggestion was an example of your policy/principle in motion. It opens a huge can of worms that you haven't thought through.

I completely understand the opposition to favoring collective rights over individual rights. But I also have major problems with individual "rights" that infringe in a massive way on the freedoms and safety of the collective. The balance is very tricky.

I guess I would side with caution and choose individual rights and personal freedom.

Now, if everyone was looking out for each others' best interest and were charitable, we wouldn't need government. Sadly, that will probably never be the case.

Why is it meant to be provocative? How about it's meant to be signal what you believe in? Just like so many signal all day long, for whatever it is they think is important enough to signal? Social media is signaling, and it's everywhere. Trump's got his warts, as does everyone else. I have no problem with the media calling him out on some the crap he says. I have a huge problem with the media pretending he's the devil, and that he has no redeeming quality or value, and that they and their boy don't have major issues. The notion that it is a foregone conclusion that Trump's faults are by far and away so much worse that the faults of liberals is exhausting, and I think much of the Country agrees with me. Lots of votes for Red this time around, much more than we were told would happen, and Trump, who has been villainized by 90% of the media for the entirety of his time, looks like he may lose by the slimmest of margins. People aren't buying the group think, they aren't buying the identity politics. Democrats are in a bit of bind right now. People aren't buying the woke movement, and Democrats have some tough decisions to make.

The hat was simply a marketing gimmick. It united the base and gave the finger to the left at the same time. Plus, it helps to draw out antifa like a moth to a flame. Not every barista is antifa. Just some.

Lots of truth in here.

If they think Trump is the devil, just imagine if the left knew about Mohammad. White Arab who owned slaves and treated women like shit.

If anyone were in need to be canceled in history, it is that guy. Worst than Hitler that one. Epitome of intolerance.

I have been thinking this through for over twenty years. My plan actually is more free market. Patients would have a choice of doctors, not insurance companies.

He isn't "white," and neither is the Chinese government, which is all that matters. Brutalizing the shit out of people and atrocious human rights violations happening in other countries pale in comparison to, um, well, a Country that for the last 60 years has owned up to its shitty history and has made massive improvements and done well to give everyone equal opportunity to have a good life. Corporations don't say a damn thing about China, because they have a lot of tv's and make them a lot of money, but support and fund putting the name of a pos on the back of your shirt that was killed in the process of being a pos, by a cop, who was fully in the right to shoot the guy. Things can't be more upside down and nonsensicial. It isn't perfect, but suck my ass if you don't think this Country is pretty damn wonderful. I kind of think that is what distinguishes one side from the other; one thinks it's a great country founded on principle that was designed to work for all, while the other thinks it's a bigoted shithole that deserves to be burnt to the ground and its ashes pissed upon. Thankfully, I don't think the majority of American's are buying the Stacey Abrams, Robin DiAngelo garbage-disposal flee-bitten shit they put out.

He should have spent more time campaigning on those points raised on the first half of your post. I think he's even done a decent job handling the coronavirus. Instead he spent most of his time trying to paint Biden as corrupt because of his son's actions and playing the blame game and noone was buying it.
