I used care with the subject line, because I know that there are some who either do not care about Mike Gesell or who are so anti-Iowa that this sort of thread is incendiary. Hopefully those who don't want to read about him won't.
As a fellow South Sioux Citian (is that a word?), I am very proud of what Mike has accomplished off the court as well as on, and wanted to share this with my fellow Nebraskans. Mike is going to graduate in May and will be a grad student (masters in sports management) for his fourth year of school and his final season of eligibility. He currently has a 3.93 GPA. He says that he wants to play for as long as he can wherever he can, but he sees pro ball as a final fling before the commencement of real life.
