OT ice storm

Let dog out and she slipped off the steps so knew it was slippery. She's ok as she ran around the yard with no after effects.

I had no trouble driving around Uptown today.
Slippery last night, just wet today.

Tomorrow morning might be different.

Where was that located? I could not find a definitive answer online. I stayed in Cather Hall and we always went to N Street.

I vaguely remember it was a straight walk from the back of Sandoz to Herms. But things have changed since I lived there ca. late 70's.

Looks like it may have been between S and U, between 15th and 16th.

I was doing a little street view driving with Google Maps and it looks like there have been a lot more changes since I was there too. That's to be expected, but still. I made the trek back to Lincoln in 2015 . If it wasn't so bone chilling cold I would have walked the campus noticing the changes.

17th & P.....NW corner.
Herm's is still there. It's now a bar.
Back in my UNL days ('74-'81), we'd get huge snows. Everything would be closed except Herm's, which was jammed with students buying booze. You'd get half-lit then ride down 17th Street holding on to the back bumper of somebody's Jeep. Great times.
