So i just moved into a new house back in November that's an all electric home, heat is provided from heat pump. Just got my first utility bill, holy crap.. My question is, right now i've have the heat set to turn down automatically during the day when i'm at work and at night... Is that the way to go, or is it more efficient to leave it set to the same temperature throughout the day so the heat pump isn't working to raise the temperature as hard? I'm in Western NE.
