Not political because it applies across the spectrum.
I'm almost 64 years old now and one of the seismic shifts I've seen is that when I was young, the person considered the "free thinker", someone who had ideas outside the box (right or wrong) and wasn't afraid to talk about them was someone on our college campus (UNL) who was admired for their honesty and willingness to communicate.
That seems to be 180 degrees from now, where the person who has their own thoughts and expresses them openly is more often than not a pariah, assaulted on social media and worse yet by the powers in the administration of the University.
Conformity and group think seem to be the order of the day, a very sad day indeed!
