Hopefully it wakes people up to the garbage Americans are eating on a daily basis. Your health starts with your gut - and as a nation we are making sure we stay on the pharma treadmill by ingesting garbage … it’s sad and as more people wake up to it there can be very real change.
Yup. I was in Amsterdamn 2 years ago. You don't see many fatties. Lose the red dyes in Front Loops and other stuff. Go back to Cane Sugar. Little stuff will help. We are a nation of obese unhealthy people. Kids are starting out inactive and fat as hell too.
so many things we do affect the gut for good and bad.
sugar, artificial sweeteners, medications, stress, over exercise, alcohol, tobacco, lack of sleep, Nebraska losing all negatively affect the gut microbiome.
tea/coffee (polyphenols), modest exercise, fiber, some herbs positively affect the gut microbiome.
They poison you to make you fat and unhealthy. Then sell you Ozempic and other drugs to help you lose the weight. They are making money on both sides.
Bad food is cheap and easy while good food is expensive and can be more difficult to prepare.

Alcohol -> Rehab

I'm all for bringing back healthy foods and eating el' natural. But that will come at the cost of regulations and government oversight. Is that what big companies and the american people really want? Catch 22. I thought the idea was less government interference. Which by the way I am all for with regards to all of the BS bureaucracy that we have to endure.

You have to either:
1) Ban those additives (socialist approach)
or
2) Breakup all these large conglomerates into smaller pieces. (capitalist approach)
I am all for small government and a truly capitalist environment, but that only works when you have many small businesses.. it doesn't work well when there are only 2-3 established players. Big corporations defeat capitalism and make it a lot more like socialism/communism, by their sheer size/leverage

He might make a few changes that help, but Americans knowingly eat horribly. His words won’t change that. We are all in control of what we eat and drink. You know, freedom and all.
You could also educate and arm the citizens with information on the risks of those chemicals used and let the market to decide. People who have done their own research understand the risks make different decisions.
And with Elon we now have a mega tech billionaire manipulating from within the system, while snagging more of our personal data to use at his discretion. All the while spewing out all kinds of information none of which can truly be verified. Completely using the "look at this shiny object while I fvck you all approach" that works so commonly well on an ignorant populace. I give him credit. He wormed his way in and now owns the lot of us. The reason I ask is my son came home and one of his teachers apparently carries on regarding the political climate and allows his personal bias to come through to the kids. Which I find wildly inappropriate.
