I have a wood burning fireplace that I've never used because the damper was broke when Si bought the house. I'm looking at either having pipe ran and getting a gas insert installed or researching electrical. We got a bid for a gas insert with remote control from Fireplace Stone & Patio and it was $5200. Anyone have any thoughts on recommendations on companies or whether gas or electric makes more sense? Basically looking at all my options at this point.
