Floribraska.... Extensive background as DB coach at Auburn etc and DC at smaller schools. Graduated from Westlake High in Atlanta Georgia.
He's a good DB coach with ties to talent hotbeds.
38th in Total D, 31st against the run, 68th against the pass in his first season as coordinator??? Not to terrible...
The UCF Knights have a new defensive coordinator. Addison Williams, who was UCF’s DBs coach the last two years and served as assistant head coach last year, was promoted to DC by head coach Gus Malzahn.
Addison Williams followed Malzahn to UCF after serving as an analyst at Auburn in Malzahn’s last season there in 2019. He coached the safeties at Coastal Carolina in 2020 before coming to UCF in 2021.
Williams played his college ball at South Carolina from 2007-2009
Williams takes over for Travis Williams (no relation), who left to become the defensive coordinator at Arkansas.

very qualified to coach DBs at NU.
Especially given Malzahn's style of offense. I imagine his defense had to defend a lot of snaps.
Wonder if he'll drag a couple of good DBs with him?

Nobody yet, but he has playes he coached in the portal. Like I said in another thread not every coach can or will bring players, but many will under these rules and that can be the difference between a good hire and a great hire.
Exactly! The dude will bring some recruiting knowledge and connections in talent rich areas.
From UCF? There will be guys in the portal looking to get paid as teams exit the playoff.
