so as I'm perusing FB this morning and looking the various posts, it has occurred to me that a certain segment of my friends always crap on holidays, specifically any that are religious, have some patriotic theme or are in some ways traditional. It's like they see a post celebrating the 4th, and as if to take it upon themselves to remind us all that things weren't always rosie, post something about our national shame or past injustices. "Remember as you are lighting off fireworks, eating hot dogs and celebrating "Mercia", that there are many people who's America is different from yours and it isn't so great."

These are usually the same people who post about thanking single mothers on Father's Day, post short videos on the pagan aspect of the timing and celebration of Christmas/Easter. And God forbid you mention Columbus Day. I get it. We did/continue to do sh*tty stuff to each other. But I'm tired of seeing happy kids lighting fireworks and swimming followed by an NPR podcast on the horrors of our past.

The culprits are always the same.

Then you have the flip side, the morons on my feed posting a picture with a red white and blue eagle with a trump head drop kicking some dude over a wall. #MAGA.

You know the type, the guy who always finds some way to blame Obama or liberals in random posts. I swear, someone could be selling a 1999 Toyota Corolla in buy/sell/trade and this d*ckwad chimes in about Obama letting foreigners come in here and take our jobs. Never mind that Toyotas are basically made in the USA, while his Chevy Silverado with the lift and the terrorist hunting permit sticker most likely came from Mexico.

Mostly small town idiots who I grew up with, or are related to. The common clay of the new west. You know... Morons.

TL;DR Happy Fourth, Facebook and people in general suck
