I have masking tape in my lunchbox to tape over the lens and am in the process of informing people their biometric data is being stored somewhere without their knowledge and consent. I have a Union backing me. I imagine I'll be putting my notice in the next few weeks, getting fired or getting bought out.

And the thing about biometric data, medical data, all data with these various companies is that they aren't guarding any of it worth a damn. Hospitals are the worst.

I already said they already had GPS on everything and this isn't about simple surveillance if you read the thread again this is about AI facial recognition. There are already States telling micromanaging companies they have to inform and gain consent to capture employees biometric data. There are already States that have laws that citizens and employees have domain over their biometric data. I guarantee most States will follow suit and Pillen wants to sign something similar. So learn to read and f*** off until you do.

I work for the government. They already were tracking me. Never been written up in 15 years. What is next? A chip in my arm? Sad thing is half of you would go along with that too.

I'm not too concerned I'm hoping for a buyout and if I have to pull my pension without a buyout I can sustain for 2 years.

I have read that Amazon has this in their delivery vehicles. If the AI catches you yawning or doing anything besides looking at the road your supervisor gets an alert. I don’t want that level of micromanagement.

The Billionaires Club, Bezos and another guy are going to get as many self driving trucks as they possibly can as soon as they can. Those safety and regulatory lawsuits are just a bunch of nonsense from what they are saying. It's the judges fault. Weaken the courts!

If you are driving a company vehicle...they have a right to know where it's going, who is in it, when it's being used, etc...

If your health insurance coverage is dictated that you are a non-smoker and you are seen smoking cigs every day in the vehicle, that coukd be a concern. (Also every company vehicle I've known has a strict "Non-g Policy" for them).

Bottom line...dont leave bars at 1 am in a company vehicle and dtn't arrive at a strip bar at 5:01 pm and you should be fine.

Or...find a job where you drive your own vehicle and you cover all the insurance and expenses.

Getting off a company car and receiving an allowance instead has been way better. Now i can arrive at the strip club at 3pm. It’s great!

Dude, its a camera. New cars have them installed to know which settings to use for the driver.

I'll leave this here. Not only is there tons of data, but it's being sold to insurance companies or anyone else who's interested.

My wife works for State of Iowa. Better health insurance than us. We have no kids. Only thing that's going to sting is time off is great at the City, mainly because I can comp 80 Hours of OT to 120 hours off to go along with annual. There was one year I worked 1100 hours of OT and used 300 hours of comp leave.

I have no doubt you never do anything wrong at work but I also know that an area town near me used emails to trump up a reason to dump some long term employees who were a drag on their group health insurance costs. The city manager was an unbelievable asshole. The one guy worked for the parks department and worked his ass off in all kinds of weather. They added some inconceivably stupid on call duties to get an angry response from him to fire him.

This guy did jobs nobody they’ve hired since have been willing to do. They have to hire private contractors to do some tasks at a much higher hourly rate. He had started with the city over 30 years before…..and they trapped him to get a reason to fire him. I understand your concern with the cameras but damn, realizing the world already has your biometric data, I would probably just deal with it if you otherwise like your job
