Playing in Madison probably didn’t help them. Wisconsin also lost some starting defenders to injury. It’s tough to compare but everybody HAS to be encouraged by the offense. We’ll see what we can do in a hostile environment with temps in the teens. But we put up 44.
But we put up 44.
Will be the coldest game DR’s ever played in, that’s for sure. The quick passing game we thrived on last Saturday shouldn't bee too affected by the weather. I hope.
Another chance for him to emulate Mahomes. That dude has played in some cold weather. Will be the coldest game DR’s ever played in, that’s for sure.
Dana I bet has dealt with similar at WVU.
We scored 7 on Indiana, but Ohio State scored 38. Am I doing this right? But we put up 44.
No, you’re doing it wrong. Was DH our OC back then?We scored 7 on Indiana, but Ohio State scored 38. Am I doing this right?
If we do anything like we did Saturday there’s just too many weapons to account for. Iowa only has RB, a TE, and maybe a couple possession receivers. Not to be a Debbie Downer...
In the last two seasons, game three has been a troublesome game. Now the DCs have video of the new offense and can make adjustments to their game plan. Let's see what DH has in store for I_wa.
Is this where I should call you a Hawkeye troll??We scored 7 on Indiana, but Ohio State scored 38. Am I doing this right?
We are unburdened by what has been
That settles it... Nebraska should be the #1 seed in the playoffs.
Exactly, people quickly forget that Wisconsin is a bad team because of the Oregon game.Iowa beat Wisky 42-10
People love to do stupid shit like this
Yes, for the first time in a long time I’d like to see Nebraska sell out against an opponents weakness and let the chips fall where they may. They did ok, bend don’t break, against Wisconsin in the first half, but when it was time to put the game away in the second half they gave up 2 quick scores.I don't think Iowa threw a pass more than 15 yards downfield against Maryland. Play press coverage on all receivers, and bring up the safeties for run support. Make their LB turned QB prove he can beat us with a long pass. if we play 10 yards off the ends, they are capable of playing dink and dunk down the field.
That kid was playing LB on the scout team due to a need. He was a starting QB at his previous college before transferring to Iowa sooooo....yeah he was playing linebacker but it's not like he's never played QB at a college before. They don't ask much of their QBs.Oregon showed up sleepy, just like Ohio State did to us. I think the DH effect accounts for 3 extra scores, whether that be TDs/FGs or a combo.
Make no mistake, its going to be a knife fight @ Kinnick.
If we let Iowa get to 2nd & 5 on every first down and the game is over. Even with their 5th string/backup LB playing QB, they put up nearly 30 on Maryland. Couple that with White's defense having a penchant to let guys get wide open/5 yards of separation, and there is a greater than 0 chance that they put serious points on the board.
Tony White needs to commit fully to shutting down the run. Let them get their occasional plays to the TE, but do not give up the ground game. This is the type of game where he earns his contract.
and now Iowa's QB is done for the seasonIowa scored 42 on Wisconsin...that's the most points that Iowa has scored in a game in the last 3 years
Who was the quarterback?Iowa scored 42 on Wisconsin...that's the most points that Iowa has scored in a game in the last 3 years
whoever it was threw 10 passesWho was the quarterback?
Ya, but Sconnie wasn't playing against their 4th string QB then either like we're playing against Friday.Iowa scored 42 on Wisconsin...that's the most points that Iowa has scored in a game in the last 3 years
Their 4th string quarterback might actually be better than McNamara.Ya, they weren't playing their 4th string QB then either like we're playing against Friday.
yea they were playing against northwestern's 4th string QBYa, but Sconnie wasn't playing against their 4th string QB then either like we're playing against Friday.
