Oregon scored 16 on Wisconsin

But we put up 44.

Not to be a Debbie Downer...

In the last two seasons, game three has been a troublesome game. Now the DCs have video of the new offense and can make adjustments to their game plan. Let's see what DH has in store for I_wa.
If we do anything like we did Saturday there’s just too many weapons to account for. Iowa only has RB, a TE, and maybe a couple possession receivers.

Wisconsin was playing at home, and their offense really controlled the ball, cutting down on Oregon's possessions. They had a 10-minute drive, resulting in a FG to open the second half.

Oregon showed up sleepy, just like Ohio State did to us. I think the DH effect accounts for 3 extra scores, whether that be TDs/FGs or a combo.

Make no mistake, its going to be a knife fight @ Kinnick.

If we let Iowa get to 2nd & 5 on every first down and the game is over. Even with their 5th string/backup LB playing QB, they put up nearly 30 on Maryland. Couple that with White's defense having a penchant to let guys get wide open/5 yards of separation, and there is a greater than 0 chance that they put serious points on the board.

Tony White needs to commit fully to shutting down the run. Let them get their occasional plays to the TE, but do not give up the ground game. This is the type of game where he earns his contract.

I don't think Iowa threw a pass more than 15 yards downfield against Maryland. Play press coverage on all receivers, and bring up the safeties for run support. Make their LB turned QB prove he can beat us with a long pass. if we play 10 yards off the ends, they are capable of playing dink and dunk down the field.

Yes, for the first time in a long time I’d like to see Nebraska sell out against an opponents weakness and let the chips fall where they may. They did ok, bend don’t break, against Wisconsin in the first half, but when it was time to put the game away in the second half they gave up 2 quick scores.

That kid was playing LB on the scout team due to a need. He was a starting QB at his previous college before transferring to Iowa sooooo....yeah he was playing linebacker but it's not like he's never played QB at a college before. They don't ask much of their QBs.

Their 4th string quarterback might actually be better than McNamara.
Sure, Iowa has looked good but all against nobody's. They lost to Iowa St state which they should have, got beat by UCLA Michigan St. The only strong team they played the bitch slapped them through the turf and that was against tOSU 35-7. Iowa's schedule is pure ass hot garbage. Wisconsin's schedule on their other hand makes Iowa's look like an utter joke as the played Alabama, Penn St and Oregon. UCLA held Johnson to 49 yards rushing, the OSU held him to 86 yards rushing, Michigan St held him to 98 yards rushing, He though had 187 yards against the Cyclones. These are all 4 of their losses. I'm sayin this, he won't get to a 100 on us as I'm calling anywhere between 70-80 max. Their passing game is attrocious and they will be pretty much one dimensional when we play them. Unlike other years, we have way too may weapons on the offensive side of the ball for their Defense to handle. Iowa was held to 93 yards passing while Wiscy passed for 137. Michigan St had 256 yards passing while held to 150. UCLA had 204 yards passing to Iowa's 185. tOSU 204 yards passing to their 110. Iowa St 272 to their 99 yards. Bottom feeder Maryland had 129 yards to their 76. another bottom feeder Washington had 266 yards passing to Iowa's 99 yards. I think you get my point. Were gonna rip them to shreds

CFB is just crazy. Anything can happen in any given week. Who had Bama scoring only 3 points against OU on their bingo card? Almost nothing shocks me anymore.

About the same as ours? Probably ranked higher SOS wise.
We're ranked 17th and ranked higher MUCH higher. Our losses have been because of mental retardation on the offense with a bad OC and very poor player execution and 4 of those losses those were games that belonged to us period end of story and all on us but lost them to not only extremely poor officatiating but more importantly the offense like clockwork kept shitting all over themselves. Iowa just sucks and not a very good team at all. We've played Illinois, Indiana, tOSU and beat down a team that held that vaunted Duck offense to only 16 points. Had Holgerson been here since last January, we wouldn't even be discussing this as we would right now either be 10-1 or 11-0 going into this game. Holgerson coming onboard is an absolute game changer and something we've needed badly for several years in not only his offensive prowess, but his cerebral mentality attitude and fire. By the looks of it last Saturday, his mentality, attitude and fire have successfully imprinted on not only the players but the staff as well and has even trickled over to an already good Blackshirt unit. The Holgerson effect.

We're ranked 17th
Where? I don't see us that high in strength of schedule. There's lots of different sources for this but a few I just clicked through have us in the high 40's and Iowa somewhere in the 30's. Like you said, both ass.

The were talking about it Saturday during the game. SOS of schedule changes from week to week and what you saw could be this week and the reason we are ranked lower is because Iowa is not very good while we are one of their better teams on their schedule. We've played 2 top 10 teams and a top 25 team in Illinois while Iowa a played 1 top 10 team and 1 top 20 team in Iowa St.

My prediciton for this game Friday, I'm not calling the points, just saying simply it's gonna be a blowout in favor of DONU.
