I've been on this board (or its predecessor) for nearly 2 decades, and most know I very rarely criticize players individually. But there was one player yesterday who, I swear, was jogging on the field - during live plays. I saw it on two different plays, and as long as I've been watching football, I don't think I've seen that level of "cadillacing" on the field before.
Clearly, this simply cannot happen. I mean, it's one thing to lack ability or speed, but literally jogging after a ball carrier who has run past you is unacceptable.
Under Riley, our teams have, with the possible exception of the Ohio State game, played hard and kept trying. But the lack of effort I saw from this young man yesterday on at least two occasions can't be tolerated.
Did anyone else see what I saw?
