in the air during their game versus Northwestern. I found this interesting stat on an Ohio St Message Board. Fans are obviously not at all happy with their passing game right now and they (the fans) point to a number of issues:
1. Their OL in pass pro is just not good. They have given up 7 sacks in the last two weeks and many other pressures.
2. WR's aren't getting as much separation as they were early in the year.
3. JT Barrett is beat-up - 121 rush attempts this year which does not even include sacks.
4. And of course our favorite - Tim Beck
It will be interesting to see how Ohio St attacks the Huskers on Saturday. Of course some of the lack of downfield passes is also b/c Ohio St has a dynamic rushing attack and they don't need to chuck it all over the place.
That being said, I'm sure they will at least try to stretch the field a few times early on us - but if we can hold up (which with the way our DB's are playing I think we can) I have a feeling this is going to be another game like Wisky that is played in a phone booth and we may have a shot to win it in the 4th quarter.
GBR!!!
