# of days after sCUm bowl game does the HC resign?

You assumed it was his preference. He came back and said it wasn’t his preference. For someone who relentlessly tells everyone on this board that you never said such a thing, even challenging posters to find where you said it - they can’t… and you did the same damn thing. Almost as if you are trying to start something with a fellow Husker poster.

But you would never do that, amirite?
Did you read this?

I just think the risk for injury in a game that means very little to the team or the individual is too high for a player that has a high 1st round grade.

If I am the top DB or top 2 or 3 QB in the draft, I would not risk injury to play BYU in the Alamo Bowl.

Did you read this?
of course I read it. He didn’t say it’s his preference. He was acknowledging that it was GOOD BUSINESS. Surely you read those words in his post? Businesses do things against preference x1000 if it is good business, even if it goes against preference, no?

He said it’s good business to have an insurance policy but still too risky

So much so that he, himself, wouldn’t play

That’s fine, Tim. Tuco is allowed to have his own opinion.

I am looking forward to seeing them play, however, and hope other elite players - especially ours - choose to do the same in the future

As a fan I would want all the players to play. As a person making a business decision I may have a different perspective.
There’s his preference, @timnsun

Same as mine and everyone else’s. We want to see the best players play, knowing they’re putting their livelihood at risk.

I fully agree with you on both fronts, Tuco

And I applaud these kids for going against the grain and putting on a show for the fans

Actually, he made clear that he doesn’t prefer anything. It was in black and white. And you still claim he prefers players opt out.

I apologize, for a wordsmith like you, I just thought you would be smart enough to understand the difference.

My bad for trying to clarify. I’ll stop trying to educate you now. I can see it’s a fools errand.

He literally said “as a fan I want to see the players play”

Not everything is a “gotcha”.

We are having a normal discussion that reached its natural conclusion.

So when he said he had no preference, he meant he had a preference. I just didn’t interpret his actual words correctly. But thanks be to God you’re on this board to clear it up for all of us. Its just a good thing you know him better than he knows himself.

And I’m not saying, “gotcha”. I’m saying he said he had no preference, and you still are telling this board actually he does. If there’s a gotcha here, it sounds like you are saying gotcha to Tuco by continuing to proclaim he does, in fact, have a preference.

The most Kong thing ever.

Tim, calm down, take a deep breath, and read this post:

Tuco is right. he's saying the same thing every single college football fan on the planet says:

"I want to see the best players play, but I understand the risks in doing so."

we agree. there is no "gotcha". Tuco answered my question and provided very good insight about why he thinks the way he does about this particular topic, all of which I read, understood and appreciate.

I am not arguing with anyone. this is a very normal conversation.

Yep, I’m familiar with the thread, thanks. I guess when a poster says they have no preference, I tend to take that as they have no preference. You didn’t. You feel compelled to show him that he does, in fact, have a preference and you were right in saying so. Which is fine, it’s what you do.

I know you believe me to possess mythical powers and a crystal ball in addition to incredible strategic foresight, but I do not force anyone to post their opinions here.

Tuco shared his thoughts on his own accord.

college football fans want to see the best college football players play college footbal.

I really have no idea why you are so bent out of shape about this, Tim. and I am happy to do whatever I can do help you see that I am just a normal person, just like you.

Who did Colorado beat??? A lot of Colorado's success was due to them not facing stiff competition other than Nebraska.
Are there any asterisk’s next to Tom Osborne‘s 74, 75, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 85, 86, 87, 89, 90 seasons stating, “ Please keep in mind that Nebraska played in a conference that only had one formidable opponent”? All history remembers is your final record.
