# of days after sCUm bowl game does the HC resign?

Bigger question, how many days until TH and the Sanders brothers opt out of the Alamo Bowl? Nothing for them to gain, everything to lose. Wouldn’t blame them. Playing for school pride? Please.

Pretty sure K State was best team they played.

Maybe. NU blew the doors of Colorado, CU was at least able to keep it close against KSU. But either way, a pretty average team and CU lost to them at home.

They won’t unless “Coach Prime” gets another job, otherwise they will do what benefits him.

I remembered Fryar being #1 and that Rozier went USFL. I forgot about Dean going #2 after Fryar. That was one hell of a team.

Gill would have had a shot if it was 2004, but the NFL wasn’t excited about black QBs in 1984.
Didn’t we have Mike Croel and Bruce Pickens go 3 and 4 in the draft as well? Maybe 88 or so? Not too bad…

Now I’ll do some research and see if I got it right…

Edit: 91, Pickens #3 to Atlanta, Croel #4 to Denver.

I actually like him also. I think it's funny that he lives so rent free in some people's head that they can't or won't even acknowledge that he's done a good job turning CU around. In most cases it almost seems personal even though I'm sure about 99.9% of the people the can't stand him don't know him at all.

Are his sons easy to dislike? For sure. Especially Shadeur. But Deion doesn't bother me at all.

Man, you're not kidding. A poster on here actually said that Deion would have to not only make it to the playoffs this year, but win a playoff game before they would acknowledge that he's done a good job. Has to essentially finish in the top 6 just two years after taking over a 1-11 dumpster fire. That kind of willful ignorance is definitely something personal, to say the least.

Colorado had a better season than we did. So if Deion is a terrible coach how much worse is Rhule? And don’t give me the “they had a soft schedule” argument. So did we. And yet we somehow managed to lose to UCLA, Iowa, and illinois— and those are 3 teams I think CU would have beaten this year. And they would have had a good chance of beating USC too.

We had a golden opportunity to have a break out season this year and we blew it. Rhule took too long to put together a winning coaching staff. Stuck with his buddies like Satt and frittered away the season. That is ALL on Rhule.

All I know is Deion turned Colorado around and they had a good season. We had a shit season. Rhule is now 11-13 over 2 years.

Trash Sanders all you want, but he has done better at CU than Rhule has here. Period.

Absolutely right and it literally makes no sense. Had our coach done what Deion had half our fan base would be ready to give him a life time contract lol. Seriously though it's kinda embarrassing.

I know he made a change at one of the coordinator positions last year he didn’t wait around hoping things would change. I like how they finished the year out, the bravado and trash talk out of him slowed down, maybe because of the on field results. Will have to see how things go next season with them losing Shedeur and Travis Hunter those 2 guys gave them a huge advantage over most of the big 12 competition.

Nebraska kept it close with Ohio State, who blew the doors off Indiana.

By your retard logic, Nebraska is better than Indiana.

I think too much false confidence got put into that game. Nebraska D was great the first half against an entire O line of first year starters. After halftime adjustments, Colorado scored 10 to Nebraska’s goose egg.

It was a nice win - but that was arguably the pinnacle of the 2024 season for Nebraska.

Nope just a far superior team dominating a lesser team.

Come on, all their success was based on switching to a garbage conference. And they still lost to 5-7 KU, and 6-6 Nebraska. Not to mention we killed them head to head.

I did not say CU was a great team. I said they are better than we are. And they are. Our win against them was amazing. Best game I have seen us play in years. But I doubt we would have beaten them had we played later in the season.

They aren’t, we kicked their ass. And then they beat a bunch of bad teams.

Take care friend.

Well yes, for the sloppy drunk portion of the fanbase, self-reflection and criticism directed inward just isn’t something that can be fathomed.

Hopefully we can beat the brakes off BC!
Sad to see how the Nebraska fan base perception went from being some of the most knowledgeable in college football to some of the dumbest in the past years. Many of the delusional comments in this thread illustrate that.

The majority of proton a message boards are not True FANS of a team. In fact tje majority haven’t even attended a game in their lives I would suspect.

Your logic is seriously flawed in this thread. CU played a bunch of bad teams who can't defend the pass. That's it. It's not some brilliant turn around by a wizard of a coach.
I never said the turnaround was brilliant or that Sanders is a wizard. I said he has done better this year at CU than Rhule has at NU.

Geez people are triggered on this board when it comes to Sanders. All I am trying to do is counteract a lot of the irrational hatred of him on here by pointing out a simple indisputable fact: despite their loss to us they had a better season than we did.

And please cut the crap about how easy the CU schedule was. Because we lost to some shit teams. And we were humiliated by Indiana. So I don’t get the people on this board throwing shade at anyone. We lost our right to throw shade at other teams A LONG TIME AGO.

Also Deion says and does all the things everyone here wants to see regarding bowl games.

His kids and the Heisman trophy winner aren’t opting out - they’re going to finish the job they signed up to do.

He's not going to have any issue continuing to sign superstars. He just signed Julien Lewis. He doesn't bother me either, at least he doesn't bother me any more than Ferentz, the boat rower, fatso Bielema or any other number of coaches at programs I'd like Nebraska to beat more than 25% of the time. I'd take any coach that can turn a program from 1-11 to 9-3 in two years.
Deion is good for college football and the Big 12. There needs to be some national interest in teams outside of the Big 10 and SEC. With Julien Lewis, there's a chance Colorado can keep things going, but they are going to miss Travis Hunter-- how do you replace a guy who was the best DB and WR in the nation?

I’m guessing some of the frustration has to do with a lack of consistency in posting. Not you, just in general.

It used to be scoreboard mattered. And we have scoreboard. I guarantee you if the roles were reversed and we were sitting at 9-3 and Colorado was 6-6, but we got beaten badly by Colorado, there would be a huge number of pointing out the scoreboard and that we should just shut up.

Just gets frustrating that there are posters who are gonna spin it the worst possible way no matter what the outcome.
