This goes beyond the two sickening blowouts to OSU and Iowa.

We struggled for much of the non conf games against Fresno St and Wyoming.
Then came the Purdue, Indiana, and Illionis games. They all handled our lines pretty
well. Minnesota and Maryland were very competitive.

We did turn things around in the win column which is a start but did anyone really
feel comfortable even at 7-0?

Seems like we have decided to hang our hats on Riley's west cost pass attack
and de-emphasize the inclusion of a physical element that is suited not only to our
culture but the reality of the current landscape of the Big 10.

Why we cannot get consistent line play at a school like Nebraska for the last 15
years is a major concern.

I am all for some finesse but we badly need a commitment to being a physical
program and a little imagination on offense would not hurt
