He says we should. There are others on the board who think otherwise. Why don't you think Nebraska should accept a bowl bid?
Actually, just read coaches won't receive bonuses. Good.I believe I read Riley gets 150K bonus if we make a bowl game. If so hopefully he donates it to his favorite charity.
Please explain... How was your statement a joke that went over my head?
Here is the story on ESPN http://espn.go.com/college-football...based-apr-missouri-tigers-seek-bid-high-scoreWe need the practice.....
Agree that there are too many bowl games. Agree that I love watching the Huskers play. Agree that they need the practice.I don't really care for the "they don't deserve it and should turn it down" side of things. You work with what you are given. If they can get another game and that much more practice in then they should embrace it. And it gives me a reason to even care about bowl season (for one game at least).
I do think that they need to trim the bowl games down some. 5-7 teams should NOT be playing in bowl games, but that shouldn't be because they are too proud to accept one.
It will be interesting who see which posters that don't think we should accept a bowl and/or claim they have no interest will be on the game thread day of.
chongo wont be happy about this
It was announced that they would not.It was a bit of luck NU will even be in line to be asked for a bowl game - so I say take it
But the criteria for 5 win teams is the APR for last year - NU had 991 the previous year it was 966. The 991 score puts us at the top of teams with 5 wins the 966 would have put us at the bottom - so I say take the bid and run
Riley and hopefully do not get a bonus for going as the selection had nothing to do with their efforts
