They are sitting all the way down at #14 despite being a one-loss team and being pretty dominant since the opening loss. They could easily beat Clemson and still be left out.
They're being punished for hiring Papuchis. They're being punished for scheduling two FCS schools. Loss to South Carolina doesn't help either.
But Warren evened that hire out. Hated to see him go.They're being punished for hiring Papuchis.
this if iowa had a loss to a 3-9 team this were they would be ratedIt's really simple why UNC isn't getting respect...their schedule sucks. Their best win by a country mile is a 7 point win over Pitt. Iowa would be in the same spot if they weren't undefeated. At least Iowa has good wins vs. NW and Wisky. UNC beat the likes of NC A&T, Delaware, Wake Forest, & a 3-9 GT team. Duke was an ok win I guess.

You consider Illinois a good win? If you are doing the "comparative score" thing, I"m going to bite considering how ridiculous and inconsistent of an argument that is. Iowa is undefeated, UNC isn't. As a previous poster mentioned, their loss is to a 3 win South Carolina team. Their schedule was garbage. Iowa's was too, but they won them all. Had UNC beat S.Carolina they would be in the conversation, but the question was posed as to why they aren't being considered. The answer is: their schedule. How'd UNC do against Illinois?
