Neyor opting out of bowl game

I’d say no practice squad heck he wouldn’t be good at carrying concessions probably drop the drinks, there was a reason Texas told him to leave and we were the suckers to pick him up

Opting out to prepare for the NFL? he better work on hanging onto the ball if that's even possible for him. I'm glad some of the young kids will get a chance to show what they can do against BC. Sometimes in these type games kids will show up on the field that you haven't seen all year, and you wonder where have they been all year. During the year I believe coaches have a tendency to play it more conservatively with players they trust and try and bring young kids along slowly, well now because your roster has been shortened coaches no longer have that luxury. jmo

Side note on Neyor, He would have been better off playing in this game to try and bring some attention to his playmaking abilities instead of working out in private. Scouts from the NFL will be at all these post season games evaluating players, maybe Neyor was afraid he wasn't up to it, so he needed to work harder on his craft away from this game Winking.

True. His last impression was not a good one.

To be fair though they'll be at the post season practices and all-star games too. But I agree and don't think this helps him unless he's not going to see the field which is a distinct possibility

Won’t play because he wants to prepare for the NFL scouts at the East West Shrine game.

Good. If we don’t have a better receiver on the roster then something is seriously wrong. He stank this year. Can’t believe he thinks he will get drafted.

Good riddance and don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

What better way to show your ability than to play in a bowl football game for your current school.

He would get more playing time for Nebraska than in the all star game while showing loyalty to the school that signed you out of the transfer portal at the same time.

No way would I draft him. But if goes in there and goes high 4.3s to low 4.4s, jumps 37 inches+, and looks good in WR drills I wouldn't be shocked. Late picks are usually about measurable OR production. No in between.

Holla

There is also the very real possibility that Holgorsen told him that he would not be playing much in the bowl game and that they wanted to play the younger receivers instead. Holgorsen himself may have encouraged Neyor to focus instead on the Shrine game. This has the added bonus of allowing Neyor to save face by allowing him now to pull the NFL card.

I mean, come on, DH has seen what we all saw. Neyor can’t block or catch or run crisp routes. He is a liability. The bowl game is a perfect opportunity for DH to start playing our future receivers.

That is a good point…highly possible.

If and I mean big if this guy is drafted somehow and winds up on Monday night football. He better say he was from his high school

Rhule said Neyor was concerned about injury risk, as he did blow his knee out a couple of season ago. But he is playing in an all star game.
