I know its hard to sit back and let things play out, but that's what I'm doing. There's a long, long way to go before I'll get too worried about Neyor seeing the field next season,.
Even if he comes back - I wouldn’t see him starting.

Agree I’m not going to get too high or low on players and coaches. Will be Yawnsville until we have our true roster and then I will be all in our team!

He obviously has potential, maybe Shorts can help him elevate his game? I don't mind him coming back.. if he improves he will play, if he doesn't he won't.

He will declare for the NFL it’s actually what he did before. Then Louisville contacted him and what happened there who knows. But by withdrawing from the portal he has only two choices Nebraska or the NFL .

But we have to allow him back and not sure I would....105 might ultimately cost him. He could portal after spring, right??

If he withdrew from the portal it means Nebraska or the NFl. He just can’t sit out of school and jump the portal in the spring he would be ineligible and need to apply for a waiver. Likely he will declare for the NFL.

Apparently revokes commitment to Louisville and withdraws from the Portal. Cannot believe he would be welcome back in Lincoln. Cannot believe he has been advised that his odds to be drafted are spectacular.

His options are limited IMO because although he has the body he doesn't have the hands. Too many drops. I think he's not allowed to come back to Nebraska, goes to the NFL draft, doesn't get picked up there and then finally winds up in a minor pro league where he will have a final chance to improve his stock.

The dude took a large NIL payment, then left the team before the bowl game. No way Rhule tells him lets run it back. And certainly his NIL package would be nil.
I bet this is another case of someone getting bad advice. You want to play pro ball? Play the bowl game, come back next year and fight like hell to get a starting spot, and keep it by not dropping balls. A decent year might result in a late round pick. A really good year might result in a mid round pick.

Of course if he were told the staff saw no path for him to be in the 105, that could have gotten his portal ball rolling.

If a kid enters the portal, the team he left has to take him back if he doesn't get the better situation / offer he was looking for?

Doesn't matter who the OC is if the ball hits you in the hands and you drop it.
Tee Higgins dropped one in the endzone last night with zero contact from a defender and no worries about being out of bounds. Yeah it was cold and thrown high(perfectly) but he had both hands on it.

Yeah, he isn’t Tee Higgins. He might want have a few more successes before being forgiven for the massive failing.

What did Sims do last year? He entered the portal in December and don’t pick a school until May. Neyor can still attend classes at Nebraska and maintain eligibility. If he gets the waiver.

No the team doesn't have to take them back.

Couldn't he just jump to another team similar to what luke mcCaffrey did?
Problem is a lot of schools are cutting to105 and some don't want to go up to 105. A lot of kids are gonna get squeezed out of football because of all the covid guys for a bit longer

I don't want him back. Could've given his reps to others this year iyam. Never seen such a physical specimen be so soft when going for the ball. He's the definition of an enigma. Because he looks exactly like you want an NFL WR to look like. 6'3 215,long arms, probably run low 4.4s or lower. He just isn't a "football player" imo.

My guess is the coaches "helped" him make that decision to bounce. Just watching his effort trying to block was enough to make me not like him. Never mind the fact that he couldn't catch a cold, buck naked, soaking wet in ALASKA. Let him go and wish him well ..

Should just go FCS. But its probably not really about going to the NFL. Its more likely about getting paid in NIL right now knowing that those days are ending soon.

You can't be that big and never fight for the ball.
