Nebraska goes three up three down.

Not sure why you would take Schlepp out of the lineup who just went 3/4 the first game regardless of the matchup.

Lets fo Huskers. Get the bats going. I think this team is better off unranked. Maryland is a solid club though.

We were supposed to be a solid club too. Our strengths, pitching and defense, have both failed today. Three HBP, two errors, passed ball....

We've surrendered three unearned runs so far today. Came in with just two of those and now have five. Horrible day.

Re: Nebraska vs. Maryland Game #2 (Maryland leads 7-1 Top 7th)

This is the downside of playing so many games at home in a row. You get the crowd behind you and you play well and you get out ahead and don't have to worry about playing from behind. Then you make your first road trip in 4 weeks against a quality team, and you start getting into situations you haven't been in for awhile, and you don't know how to respond. Easily the worst play we have seen from this team all season.

Re: Nebraska vs. Maryland Game #2 (Maryland leads 8-2 Top 9th)

I'm assuming that this is an aberration of sorts. Maryland is projected to be among the top teams in the B1G THIS year, but that's not common. Most years, Nebraska would take care of them. And I think going forward, that will be the case more often than not.

Re: Nebraska vs. Maryland Game #2 (Maryland leads 8-2 Top 9th)

I would not make that assumption. Maryland has improved every year under John Szefc and was one win away from the CWS last year. I'm not knocking the NU program, but I don't expect Maryland to become easy pickings for the Huskers anytime soon.
