Comparing budgets between Central Florida and Nebraska reveals a rather obvious advantage for DONU. UCF has a $59 million dollar compared to NU's $102 million and that is due to increase substantially this year when the full B1G revenue hits in 2018. At $59 million would have to spend about 10% on their head coach to keep up with the rumored offer Frost has from NU. Even if they do offer that, are they going to be able to match the amount NU will pay assistants? Beyond the on field coaching staffs, schools with Nebraskas resources also have a lot of other support resources not available to schools with a smaller budget. This includes staff to evaluate recruits, cultivate relationships with high school coaches, staff to recruit walk-ones etc. Because the size of Nebraska's athletic department and breadth of sports, the sports medicine department, training room, weight room and a host of other resources are simply far superior to UCF and other smaller schools. Finally, not to many successful coaches at the UCF level think they have reached the pinnacle of success.
