For anyone who doesn't want to wait until September 22 to watch the game.

I think Nebraska loses that game in rough fashion, like 31-0 or something. Michigan will have the best defense Nebraska faces all season, and the Huskers will be trotting out a QB making his first road game start.
IMO this is easily our 2nd toughest game outside of OSU but no way in hell we get destroyed/shutout; we haven't been shutout since '96 and this offense is shutout proof. We'll cover the spread and if Harbaugh doesn't change their pro-style O to fit Shea, they sure as hell won't score 31.

I see a close loss 17-14 Mich

I viewed the last few minutes of this. I regret it.

Michigan recovers an onside kick. NU has no time outs. About 90 seconds left. Why would Michigan run any plays at all rather than take a knee and kill the clock? No coach would do that.

It would depend on whether the other team has any time outs. Watch the last 60 seconds of the 1971 Nebraska vs. Oklahoma game. Nebraska got the ball back deep on the Oklahoma side of the field with about 60 seconds left as a result of stopping them on fourth down. Nebraska did not take a knee once.

How often will we be under center next year..

I don’t remember UCF hardly under center last year.

If only it's that close.. I would be pretty happy with a 27-24 loss in the Big House in our first away game of this season. It would mean we were well on our way to 8 wins.

Man I’d take that!

You have to learn to crawl before you walk. I think the Freshman QB gets his brains beat in vs. UM, and the Huskers become a better team after the drubbing.

That may be true. The bigger question for me is how the defense plays. If they let Michigan run over them like they did with good teams last year, it will be very disappointing. If they play tough all game, it will be encouraging.

I envision a game where Michigan has a lot of easy scoring chances due to defense and special teams.

Have to disagree. I think this is the upset game we pull this year.

You see us going on the road, with a QB that's never taken a D1 snap, in game 4 of the Frost regime, and beating what will be a Top 10 team?? I don't agree at all, but I like your blind optimism. I'll remain cautiously pessimistic on this one. :D

I don’t think we win at the Big House this year but hope I am wrong. The game will be a great measuring stick for both players and coaches. Can the oline do enough for the skill guys to make some big plays? Perhaps Harbaughs offense will be sufficiently moribund and NU can stick around on the scoreboard and have a punchers chance in the 4th.

According to most on here, Harbaugh is an average, overrated coach. So the question isn't whether NU will win, but how many UM coeds our team bangs afterward.

I also saw a Nebraska post earlier this year bragging that Frost and Nebraska had out-recruited Harbaugh and Michigan for the 2018 class. Look at Rivals rankings today, Michigan is 5 (now 3). In his first two years Michigan ended up 8 and 5 in the country in recruiting.

That average / overrated coach made Stanford a powerhouse, coached (not recruited) the 49r's to a Super Bowl and now has a QB. He also has a record of 10,10, 8. Most Michigan fans are more worried that Jim will jump back to the pros before he wins a national championship. There is a reason he is still the most highly sought after .college coach (not Urban, not Saban) for the pros and it certainly is not because he doesn't know how to coach.

Please do keep disregarding Michigan. Lets see what happens when Nebraska comes to Ann Arbor.

Why did Saban fail in the pros? You can not recruit your way to a Super Bowl.

Lol... well Frost did out recruit Harbaugh in 2018. And he did it in roughly 6 weeks. in fact, when Frost arrived, Nebraska's recruiting class was in shambles. The gains he made were tremendous. So, your argument is foolish.

And the disrespect you think you're reading above is coming from posters who are delusional about the Huskers, not taking shots at Michigan.

Yeah, looking down this thread, we're just trashing Michigan on here.

Except for the majority of the "prediction" posts expecting Michigan to win.

That 0-31 prediction is showing you guys no respect whatsoever.

If I predict that Nebraska loses by 60 would that be showing you guys proper respect? If not, how about 70 or 80?

So...you saw a post from earlier this year on a Husker site about recruiting and it's been sticking in your craw ever since? Dude, go get laid.

Frost played Michigan his first year at UCF and the QB in that game eventually got seated by Milton.

The second half of that game was 17-7 in favor of Michigan.

Meaning, Frost will do better against Michigan then most people think. Not saying we will win, but we will do better than people think.

That’s ridiculous. Michigan was up 31-0 to start the game and then 34-7 at half. It was 44-7 in the 3rd quarter playing plenty of backups and then ended 51-14 with the scrubs and water boys playing.

It was a complete beatdown - Michigan could have named the score and scored 80 if they wanted.

The only thing more embarrassing than the score was Frost commenting on how UCF was the more physical team afterwards

It was year one for Frost so completely understandable that they got crushed but don’t try to characterize that game as anything other than a complete mismatch.

My sentiments exactly. Frost looked silly saying UCF was more physical, or played harder, or whatever nonsense it was that he said that would indicate that it was a close game. It wasn't remotely close. Frost just got pissed that his team didn't compete better and his pride got the best of him and he made some silly comments after the game.

guess which team UCF was:

Team A - 41 carries for 119 yds (2.9)
Team B - 46 carries for 275 yds (6.0)

There are a million reasons for us to be optimistic about Frost. We don’t need to massage stats in a 51-14 mismatch. The game was out of hand so fast that Michigan wasn’t going to pass, UCF knew it and loaded the run accordingly.

If Frost is a better coach than Harbaugh he will get plenty of opportunities to prove it.

All you can ask of this season is for the players to play as hard as they can, and the coaches coach the best they can, let the chips fall where they may. I would expect Michigan to win, but I won’t be surprised if Nebraska pulls an upset either.
