Looking at losses alone, very impressive. But where are the wins?
We can't make Oregon be a decent team....lol..........The same can be said about teams ahead of us with more losses.
That 62 - 3 tends to leave an impression on the committee. The 3 loss teams deserve to be ahead of us.
Our starting QB was out....who has Oklahoma beat..nobody..Florida St...nobody....LSU..nobody ...the others I understand...they only have one loss.
Oklahoma beat Baylor, which is better than any win we have. Florida State lost by 3 to 1-loss Clemson, whereas we lost by 59 to 1-loss OSU. I'm fine where we are.

Baylor is a joke and so is there schedule......Indiana, Northwestern and Minnesota could all beat Baylor....FSU has 3 losses.....we don't lose by 59 if Tommy plays........we have losses to the number 2 and 7 ranked teams on the road, and should have beaten number 7.
All this over 2 more spots..lmao
Uh, no.
Baylor has lost to unranked 5-5 Texas & unranked 5-4 TCU (by 40). Their quality win is over current #13 Oklahoma State; who was 2-1 and unranked at the time of their game against Baylor.
Beating Baylor is no different than beating Minnesota.

See response to jeans15.
You waved the white flag, I read it.
That response doesn't fit with me, I didn't challenge why Oklahoma is ranked where they are. The biggest difference is, their losses were earlier in the season.
Just like clockwork, you pop off and can't support the non-sense.
The point is you used Baylor as a quality win for Oklahoma, and these posters pointed out that Baylor is not a better win than what we have on our schedule. Here's an idea. You should e-mail all of the polls and the committee. I'm certain your e-mails will be given the credence they deserve and won't end up in the circular file. Let me know how it works out for you.
I wave the white flag because I know it's fruitless to argue with an abject idiot.

You're convinced that 3 loss teams should be ahead of Nebraska, but your proof doesn't really hold up... agree?
We are arguing over similarities in my opinion. I have no problem with those teams being ranked ahead of us. But I also think those teams are not any more impressive the Nebraska has been. Both of them have bad losses on their schedule as well. No, not at all. We've struggled against average teams the entire year...and when we finally get to a meaningful game that can separate us from the average teams, we get completely obliterated on a national stage. I'm not arguing the point. Our best game still remains an OT loss, which isn't much support to present to the committee.
I believe there is sufficient data to place us behind both Oklahoma and Florida State, which happens to agree with the poll. If you guys want to argue the point, take it up with the polls.
Here's an idea. You should e-mail all of the polls and the committee
I wave the white flag because I know it's fruitless to argue with an abject idiot who struggles to form coherent sentences.
No reason to, I have no issues with the polls.
Name calling, right on cue. That's all you're good at.
@rrthusker take note of the continued name calling from this poster.
Ah, there it is....the call to daddy. I knew it was only a matter of time. If I were you, I would protest and throw a tantrum, because you aren't getting your way.
Perhaps if you didn't hyphenate "nonsense," I wouldn't think you're a bumbling fool.
This is all a matter of opinion, just like the last time you made a mountain out of a molehill. I agree with the polls, and others don't.
So tell me...If you didn't care about the polls, why did you even post in this thread?
You decided to name call as you couldn't support your whacked out claim. rrthusker was mentioned as he's called people out for adolescent behavior; but for whatever reason, allows you to name call.
I'll hyphenate whatever words I choose.
Support your "opinion", if that's whay you want to call it, it shouldn't be that hard. You've had multiple people challenge your whacked out claim, and you still can't support it. Instead, you act like an adolescent.
Never said I didn't care about the polls. Not only can you not support your whacked out "opinion", you make crap up.
My "whacked out" claim happens to agree with those responsible for coming up with the CFP rankings of D1 football. Oh...but I forgot, you are more qualified than those buffoons. Why not submit your resume and get paid for your expertise?
Sure, why not hyphenate words that don't need to be hyphenated? You may as well do something you excel at. And if I'm ever in need of poor spelling and punctuation, you'll be the first person I consult.
The point is you used Baylor as a quality win for Oklahoma, and these posters pointed out that Baylor is not a better win than what we have on our schedule
Take it up with the committee. I'm sure they'll listen.
I guess I'm more with Hoosker Du on this one. We got a little respect and got into the top ten, but then we crashed and burned on a big stage and fell ten or so spots. Can't expect a one score win at home against MN to catapult us very far back up. We'll just have to be content with some modest gains for the rest of this year.
Playoff committee said Baylor is better than Minnesota? That's your whacked out claim, or as you say opinion, that myself and someone else challenged. One that you can't even support. Goodness dude, you don't even know what the hell you're talking about.
Name calling and grammar smack, yikes. Congrats on winning the HOL spelling bee.
Funny...ESPN seems to agree with me. But please continue on; you're quite entertaining..
Football Power Index
35. Baylor
54. Minnesota

Oh boy, you can't get out of your own way. I do appreciate your spelling bee effort to support your whacked out claim.
The same Index that had a pre-season of:
.....
- Florida State [see LSU]
- LSU [6-3, ahead of Wisconsin]
- Oklahoma [current #10]
- Clemson [current #5]
- Tennessee
- Alabama [current #1]
- Ole Miss
- Oklahoma State [current #23]
- USC [current #11, close enough]
- Michigan [current #2]
- Georgia
- UCLA
- Washington [current #7]
- Texas A&M [current #12, close enough]
- Ohio State [current #3, big miss]
- Louisville [current #4, big miss]
- Auburn [current #8, big miss]
- North Carolina [current #19, spot on]
- Florida [current #24, close]
- Notre Dame
- Stanford
- Baylor
- Texas
- Pittsburgh
- Arkansas
As I said, there's no difference between Baylor and Minnesota. I should add, except flashy uniforms and rape allegations.
- Oregon [#27] ahead of Nebraska [#28]
- Michigan State ahead of Penn State [#33]
- Arizona ahead of Wisconsin [#37]
Really? You're going to try using pre-season rankings to invalidate what we know 10 games in?
Oh spelling bee Du-Du, you claim to be smart but struggle to understand such a basic response. I've shared enough examples an unborn child can understand. But, you can't. Not that that's surprising.
Good night HOL spelling bee champ.
10 games of data has LSU #6.
10 games of data has Auburn #8.
10 games of data has Texas A&M #12.
10 games of data has Ole Miss #16.
10 games of data has Tennessee #17.
Um, no.
There's a theme but Mr. Spelling Bee is struggling to see it. Or, he's not as smart as he thinks he is. Or, a combination of both.
