Todays college athletes and everything they experience during their time on campus reminds me of slavery to. No doubt.

If the Government gets involved they will do what communists always do. Take the money from rich schools and give to poor ones. Tradition, fan base, facilities everything big name schools have will no longer matter .
We already do that. It's called conferences. That's why Northwestern gets the same B10 money as Michigan. BTW, it's made a big difference in how competitive their athletic programs are.

All of these slaves, who can come and go as they please and get the best of everything, things that other students don't get. When looking at athletic programs overall, according to the NCAA 61% of the athletes are white and 19% are black. Man, the NCAA is enslaving white people now!
BTW, I kind of felt like a slave too working on my Master's (that's kind of ironic and funny) degree, doing teaching and research for almost nothing, and I'm a white guy and my "Master" was a professor who was originally from Libya (great professor BTW and a great guy).
Well, you have to add in how much that school is going to pay for legal fees for the sign stealing defense. And other teams may sue them for damages for winning by cheating.

The government probably isn't going to get that involved other than have a hearing or two and maybe some crazy congressman will propose a ridiculous bill that will die before it sees the light of day, as they have other things on their mind at the moment (and all subsequent moments). You have to remember that in the Federal Government, it's more important to "propose" things than to "pass" things.
Another thing, most of these institutions are public and are already regulated by their State Governments and the US Department of Education anyway. The "Government" is already involved and it's been that way for over 100 years.
It's a nothing burger, not a massive slippery slope to Soviet Communism.
Yes, they do that in the pro leagues too. The system dies if one team gets all of the money because then there's no competition and the fans become disinterested. MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, all understand this.
These sports leagues aren't like individual sports where the participants play for prize money. They all understand that if you don't revenue share, then the league goes away and everyone loses. Maintenance of the league is the Number 1 priority as without it, no one makes any money.
This is pretty simple stuff and a John Bircher like yourself should know this.
Wouldn't that be more like socialism? No one really has money in a communist state. Except for the leader and his buddies. Everyone else gets to starve.
