Nate to A@M

I like how it's set up now, if a player feels he can make more he can go make more

and if a player has delusions of granduer the portals a good way for a coach to upgrade

But total free agency?? Something has to change there and eventually will

Doesn’t make any sense if HH has already moved to the tight end room only justification I can see is they’re trying to justify Satts $1.2 million salary to coach one position

Good for him, sounds like OU and A&M went back and forth to get him. Interestingly enough, he will now compete for playing time with former B West product Micah Riley. Combined, they had a total 8 catches last year but are being coveted for their blocking it sounds like.

I'm confused by A&M's desire to go after Boerkircher for his sixth year and Riley for that matter. Boerk really wasn't that strong of a blocker either. Not sure why A&M cannot get their TEs out of Texas instead of a couple Nebraska kids. But in any event, I wish both of those kids well.

"GTFO"? What is wrong with you? Stupid talk from someone who probably never played any sport at a high level. Just say, "Thank-you" to these players and let them go.
Thank you? What in the hell are you talking about. Do you have a poster of him on your wall? Why would any grown man thank a kid for playing college football? Especially one who chose to leave? That is really weird.

I learned this from my dad. Whenever an employee would come to him with thoughts of leaving for whatever reason, he would thank them, tell them he would pay them through the end of the pay period and have them leave immediately. He felt these people had already mentally or emotionally moved on. Their focus was no longer on their work, so it was best for his operation to move on as well.

Just wondering. Being Nebr high school athlete & once they leave like Nate B. To Texas A & M, does the University of Nebraska welcome them back on campus for visits etc later in life?😊😊

Yes, a good approach. I know a situation yrs ago where a employee gave notice & was leaving in 2 weeks. During that 2 week period he ordered some heavy orders to be delivered when he was gone. Was not needed! A screw job as he left

Yup been there. Best is to watch them pack their things or pack for them and show them the door. They can do a ton of damage, sabotage and steal info in 2 weeks time. Sure it depends on the situation

sometimes they've been damaging your business for months.... I had an employee who wasn't charging for things that went out the door for a couple of months before I figured out why my business growth had plateaued. Figured out where it was going when a client came in to replace something he had received but not had to pay for a couple of months earlier. Of course he was an ISU grad who was a backup guard for them in the 90s. Loser.

good player

wish our offensive brain trust had been capable of doing their jobs without playing favorites

On Boerk's side of the coin, he's been at NU for a long time and NU might not offer him the post graduate degree he wants. I always forget about education for some reason.....

Sounds essentially like a gtfo. Got it. So you don’t really disagree with the poster who had that attitude, because it was your dads attitude too; employee has checked out, here’s your last check, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

That makes sense. I could also see A&M offering one of their 105 scholarships but not giving him anything special for NIL. That seems more possible. As for NU, I think they need to make room to get Carter Nelson on the field and losing Boerk opens up room for Carter to get the reps he must get.

Carter isn't close to getting Boerkircher's reps. He needs to put on a significant amount of weight to do that. Which would likely cause him to lose his speed. We've seen too many speedy freshman look slow after bulking up. I wish they would just leave Nelson at WR.

i think there's plenty of room for Carter Nelson. I'm not sure why he was ranked as a TE. He doesn't look like a kid who is going to get much over 230 but maybe that's big enough.

Ingwerson is a guy I'm curious to see. There were rumors out of camp that Ingwerson was giving our 1st team defense fits with the scout team. Last guy I heard that about was Taylor Martinez. Might have been idle chatter but we have options other than Boerk.
