Most Improved OL's

Just interesting. You can probably poke a few holes in the logic. I did feel like I saw improvement and on paper I like our starting 5 next year. Finally seems like it is a OL that could make a few things happen.
Dylan as our starting QB helped. Better running game helped. Dana calling plays the back half of the season helped the most.

Agreed. When it's not there Dylan needs to tuck it and go. Will open up the defenses even more with him as a running threat. Just slide accordingly Dylan. Winking
That’s one thing if any I want DR to emulate his game after Mahomes. Take the hidden yard available and extend plays. He doesn’t need to be a Lamar Jackson kind of threat. Just enough if 5 yards is there for the first go get it. And hit the turf. He’s just so awkward sliding he’s gonna hurt himself sliding

QB’s should just dive head first and forget sliding altogether.

While the running game still needs work I saw some minor improvements. Like when we were on the 1-yard line we could line up and pound it in with DD behind a fullback or Ty. Still has plenty of room for improvement.
agree

the "improvement" came when we gave our poorly coached and minimally talented OL help by adding defensive linemen to the backfield and using multiple in-line TEs

Uncle Donnie continues to flounder. if Corcoran starts this year we should all wonder what the actual goal is, because it sure as hell isn't winning games.

I really am surprised that Corcoran is still on the team. I figured he would for sure move on. I agree that he shouldn't see the field, especially coming off what seemed to be a pretty major injury and he already struggled.

he's on the team because going into his 4th year running the room, Uncle Donnie still can't recruit over him

I’ll bite. Our total offense improved 20 spots!!! Wow, way to go Donny!!! Oh wait…

2023 total offense ranked #123
2024 total offense ranked #103

Let me guess, we going to brag about a massive improvement in total offense but ignore it still sucks balls?

Husker have yet to produce a total offense ranked lower than 100 with Donny as o-Line coach’s.

Like seriously folks? This is bad… really really bad

and our redzone scoring offense, which is where the OL cannot hide, went from 74.07% in 2023 to 73.47% (120th in the country).

all this "improvement" and we actually got worse where it matters, including an incomprehensible 59.09% redzone scoring offense on the road (4th worst in the country).

wish I was surprised.

Does Donnie call plays ? Wouldn’t that fall under the OC not being good enough,

Corcoran started 30 straight games before his 2023 injury and has played football games in five seasons. The way things are looking, he will likely be a backup, and having a reserve with that amount of experience that can play both OT and OG is worth 1 of 105 roster spots.

3.7 yards/rush in 2024 - 99th in the country
2.3 sacks allowed/game in 2024 - 79th in the country

not to mention we had the least explosive offense in the B1G and maybe the entire P4 with just one single TD longer than 50 yards all season (week 1 vs UTEP)

we got the ball out ASAP knowing DR was a sitting duck behind that bad line and still put up crap protection numbers

Again some of this falls under the Offensive being called with formation and Scheme. We will see with a full spring under Dana will do . If the numbers stay basically the same or even little improvement your point is valid. If there is major improvement it’s not because Donnie just magically became a better coach.

I agree Rhule's handpicked OC is an absolute embarrassment to offensive football and wish we were paying him to get the F out of our program. satterfield is a LOSER.

Dana gave Uncle Donnie's poorly coached and minimally talented OL a ton of help, which people who don't know what they're watching equated to "OL improvement".

it wasn't. it was scheme improvement after finally replacing a sycophantic yes man with an actual football coach.

there's a reason Dana publicly stated "we need some guys" in the OL room urgently.

I'm glad we got the bama kid. hope he makes it to fall and plays well. we need 2 more starting caliber OL immediately.

really hoping we get the ND IOL. we need him badly and their trash would be our treasure.

Yep. Biggest thing that Raiola needs to work on and I think Dana will help is getting the ball out. More time with Dana is only going to help.
Biggest thing that Raiola needs to work on is his speed. Can't have a statue back there. Look at every successful team in the BCS as well as the NFL.

He definitely needs to tone up his body and hopefully gain some quickness. He won't ever be a serious run threat . But if he can pick up that crucial 3rd and 4 when guys are covered up it would be fine.

I'll settle for him just being more aware of game and circumstance and knowing when to run and being more decisive. That would go a long way

People do realize you gotta have weapons as well. Our WRs were so bad that we replaced all of them and booted several more. All that plays into the total offense. I'm talking pass pro.

Holla
We replaced all the WRs prior to 2024, also
