Man, what a journey and dedication to his craft. Starting out as a star athlete from little Marrero, Louisiana, to becoming an undersized starting QB in a soon-to-be 3x champion Nebraska offense that required mega-toughness from its QB's, to hurting his leg and deciding to pursue a master's and coaching career.
He got a gig as Omaha North's WR coach and then began grinding through a variety of smaller schools/HBCUs. He even left coaching at one point - presumably b/c his family said enough of this moving every 20 months - to be a 7th grade gym teacher. Joseph finally got his big break by being named Louisiana Tech's RB's coach in 2016 - after starting his journey in coaching in 1991, it took until 2017 for Joseph to land the LSU WR's coach job.
Between his time as a gym teacher and getting back into coaching (by being head coach at ... Langston College) he helped safely evacuate/relocate 75 Louisiana youth after the hurricanes and was considered somewhat of a local hero around Louisiana.
Would be the American dream if he could become WR coach/future OC here.
