Commenting that NU played a decent game and had a chance to win against (arguably) the best team in the country is not my definition of celebrating - just simple recognition. Your definition seems to be that if anyone says something positive when NU loses is “celebrating “. Only one of those situations is extreme.
There were plenty of people who were exuberant patting themselves on the back because we made the game close. Yes, I'd call that celebrating a loss. To a team that didn't even show up that day.
So, give examples of the exuberant celebrations? Did people call for fans to gather at 72nd & Dodge? Tear down the goal posts? Clamor for contract extensions for Rhule and all assistants? Those are examples of celebrations - not recognizing some (repeat, some) positives.
