I’m quite sure they will be because they certainly would be riding the bench quite a bit at Nebraska.Hope they are enjoying there new schools!!
There much happier they're. So their.Hope they are enjoying there new schools!!
Actually Morrow would have helped this team immensely, assuming he would have been happy in a rebounding and defensive role. But he apparently would not have been, so it's probably better for all involved that he moved on. That's just the way college basketball works these days. If Morrow didn't think he was seeing the ball enough last year, he sure wasn't going to be happy playing with Palmer and Copeland - even though it might have worked very well.I’m quite sure they will be because they certainly would be riding the bench quite a bit at Nebraska.

Not sure Horne would be seeing the floor much, actually, with Palmer being a superior player and Gill playing much better than last year.Your also forgetting about Jeriah Horne a 4 star top 100 player that got the xfer train goin last year!
Morrow was hurt most of last year, I actually think that if he knew then what he probably see's now he wouldn't have transferred. Look at Watson's role now, and he's fine with it. With Watson feeding Copeland and Palmer and also being able to score at will himself when and if he needs to like Copeland and Palmer makes this team extremely dangerous. Nebrasketball is gunna be very dangerous next year. I don't think we will lose Gill next year due to the fact he was out all last year and would most certainly qualify for a medical redshirt giving him a 6th year of eligibilty. Miles has got the team where he wants it now and it's taken this long to weed out and get the players he wanted. Sure he's been here 6 years, but sometimes it takes that long to repair damage that has been there for quite some time. There is no quit in this team. The difference between this team, and the NCAA qualifier 4 years ago is this team is all Miles recruits and the one 4 years ago were mostly Sadler's recruits. Same confidence between the 2 with totally different mindsets. This one is a team mentality, the one 4 years ago was a primadonna individual mindset. .Not sure Horne would be seeing the floor much, actually, with Palmer being a superior player and Gill playing much better than last year.
Morrow is the guy NU misses, as evidenced by them dropping about 150 spots in rebounding percentage. But like I said, that's assuming Morrow would have been willing to focus on that role. At some point you have to coach the guys who want to be there, and let the others move on.
Gill played in 12 games last year, so I doubt he gets another year of eligibility. But his production isn't that hard to replace, if Allen develops further and Akenten is for real.Morrow was hurt most of last year, I actually think that if he knew then what he probably see's now he wouldn't have transferred. Not a 4 star. Not top 100. Not missed this year. Had no affect on Morrow or Jacobsen. But let's not let facts get in the way of a narrative.Your also forgetting about Jeriah Horne a 4 star top 100 player that got the xfer train goin last year!
He would be playing no doubt but I don't think he liked the picture of his role. He could have certainly helped us with depth at the 5. Borchard wouldn't be playing IMO if Ed had stayed. Jacobsen would have probably played too but I don't think he would have started.Morrow would not be riding the bench
Jeriah never saw a shot he didn't like. He was a black hole if he got the ball on the offensive end. He would not have been a factor if he had stayed IMO unless he had a dramatic attitude adjustment.Your also forgetting about Jeriah Horne a 4 star top 100 player that got the xfer train goin last year!
They both went back to their home stomping grounds. Wish they had stayed. They really could have helped us with depth at the 4 and 5.There much happier they're. So their.
Two years ago, Gill sat out because it was his transfer year. He played two seasons at Louisville, sat out one year, and played two seasons at NU. Gill is done after this season unless he goes the graduate transfer route - which he could, since he got his degree in December. My bad Gill was out for the season 2 years ago, not last year

What teams?Agreed. I think Jacobsen with this roster could have been a solid contributor without the burden of trying to carry the team. He might have found the points coming easier with less minutes played.
I hope they both play well the next 2 years, but it might be rough because as of today, they are on teams in tougher conferences.
What teams?
All college basketball players grew up dreaming of playing for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. I would never blame a kid for leaving for happier or greener pastures. We have one of the most pathetic histories in power 5 basketball.
We very well may break it as this team is different than all of the other teams that made the dance as the early 90s team with Piatkowski, Chubbick etc. were good but slow on the court. the 97 team that won the NIT against Arkansas was well loaded and would've done some damage in the big dance that year if only they could've gotten along as they could not and a few times that year there were reports of fights not only in practice but the locker room as well after a couple of games and as far as Nee goes, he was the catalyst for most of the negativity of team and caused a very negative atmoshere. Nee was responsible for one of the best players we ever recruited to transfer from DONU and his final destination was Iowa in which he still owns a number of Big 10 records Andre Woolridge. Barry Collier wasn't much better though he didn't cause negativity, he was very bad game manager with good talent. The team 4 years ago were mostly Sadler's recruits and they had a primadonna individual mindset as did the other teams I mentioned that went to the big dance except for the early 90s squad. The reason I think we will break the ice as to say, is that this group has a team mentality and has very good talent. Next year we are gonna be that much better! IMHOI’d say the most pathetic in P5 conferences now that Nebraska is the sole school without a win in the dance. Maybe we break that this year...in a play in game?

We are the perfect storm for bad collegebasketball. Horrible local talent, no history, poor investment. I can't even come up with a college football team that is an anolog because most college football teams have had a little success. Maybe Rutgers.

If this team had started gelling just a bit sooner they would be a tourney team with a good enough seed their chances of actually winning a game would have been pretty good. St John's and Central Florida losses along with giving away Creighton and KU really hurt this team.
