Malik to Texas State

So, help me out. KONG has been touting Haarberg to anyone that will listen, even when he is behind a walk on? Kong got a bump when the coaches used potential in front of his name. Then we get our starting QB coming back plus a pretty good transfer combined with two guys coming back who both played, their effectiveness is debatable.

So, IF Hornsby is a QB recruit, that doesnt signal well for Harrberg and his potential does it?
Haarberg will never see the field.

First red flag.
I know just enough to be dangerous. For instance did you know that Ibuprofen inhibits chondroblast recruitment to damaged cartilage? As a result it slows healing and may speed degeneration of a joint even though it reduces inflammation. Strange facts you never realized you needed to know. I’ll spare you that biochemistry of that whole deal.

Anybody we get from here on out is gravy IMO. I would have liked to see a stud transfer OLB but maybe a freshman fits that billI ]
I'm hopeful they can get that OG from Baylor. He would own that LG spot, which would free up both Nouilli or Corcoran to move to RG, and then NU just has to fill that hole at RT and the pieces start to fit. You put that OG from Baylor at LG and Scott at Center with either Nouilli or Corcoran at RG you could have a really strong interior OL.

Maybe they can grab some stud from the Juco's to be a tight end.

That's why Sims may be the starter because of the uncertainty of CT's health. It gives NU more of a physical presence on offense which I know Rhule wants to start incorporating.

I’ve heard him called one of the fastest guys in college football.
If you're talking about Hornsby, then yes. In high school, his 4 X 100 team ran the fastest in high school. Hornsby ran the second leg is where you would always put your fastest guy. All those relay kids ran sub 10.5.

He's the kind of kid you don't even have to put a timer to, you just watch that cat and he can fly.

So, Malachi, Brice, Jaylen and Malik are all sub 10.5 100 guys? Go deep!!

I thought that was who it was about 🥴

Casey is a good QB if he is healthy. If he comes back and there is an open competition I would feel pretty good about the QB room.
Casey is underappreciated in the legs department, he doesn't choose to run but uses his mobility to buy time and keep his eyes down field.
With a good offensive line I think he would leak out of a clean pocket and pick up yards with his legs if everyone was covered. A crafty runner at QB who is a throwing weapon beats a running QB who is an iffy passer.

Casey’s weakness is his size. Sims is a big dude

I think they like the athleticism of a couple of our young TEs.

Purdy was terrible. Smothers so so while being here 4 years, and Haarberg hasnt been good enough to take even a snap for god awful teams. Those three can all go. Torres may not be the future but he’s young enough that you have to keep him. IMO
Haarberg should be a tight end. No future as a QB. Massive upside as a TE.

Staying close? Haven't looked or paid attention to where home is. Arkansas and North Texas aren't THAT far away. Likes Dallas perhaps

And didn't we just pick up another receiver or did I read that wrong. Been a busy weekend for me with lots of road time.

If so yes I would rather have the Stanford OL
