Malachi Coleman

Joe Brady was a ridiculous rumor considering Rhule had just strung him up as a sacrificial lamb the only other time they'd worked together

Brady now coordinates the offense for the NFL MVP
Isn't Joe Brady the reason why Scott Shanle threw a huge hissy fit over Rhule being hired as Joe and Scott were buddies from their Saints days together?

Do you want to think about that for a second before you post? Like seriously dude, you just made yourself look like the biggest fool and you don’t even realize it.

“We talked in December” means December of 2023. This was in connection with what would become the Glenn Thomas hire

You do realize Marcus Satt was hired in December 2022, right? A whole dam year before Dana and Rhule talked.

You want to school me on research again? Dana was the Head Coach of Houston on December 1; 2022 (the day Satt was announced) . Dana coached a full dam season as head coach in 2023. Went 4-8. You trying to claim Matt tried to offer him the OC when he was HC @ a then P5 school? Dana was prepping his team for bowl game the day Marcus was hired 🤣🤣🤣🤣

When people talk about Dana being Matt’s first choice, it’s in reference to Glenn’s job. GTFO with your weakass claims son. I don’t know if I’m more embarrassed for you or the people that liked your rant that was completely dead wrong!!!

Some of you people make up so much crap, that it’s embarrassing that we are in the same fan base. I’m soooo embarrassed for you. So embarrassed. #factcheck
Paint chips ain't your friend slim shady. At the same time MR was feeling out Jake Peetz as a QB coach he opened his Rolodex and sent out feelers to Alex Van Pelt and Garrett Riley. I don't know Rhule's connection to Van Pelt but he knew about Riley when he was OC at TCU. Now go wipe your chin and slink away.

Coleman wasn’t redshirted because of the Transfer portal guys. Coleman wasn’t ready to see the field. I’m going back to his 4 year high school career and his first years with Neb. He’s a great athlete but a “not ready for primetime” football player. Maybe he will reach his potential at Minnesota but that’s certainly not a given. Again - the first National recruit from Neb since I’ve been following since 1983 that wasn’t a first team all state player. He was a non-factor in the 5 games I saw him play in. Great athleticism doesn’t always translate to great football player. Dave Jensen from Creighton Prep in the late 80s was a great DL athlete. But yet I’ve been told he was referred to by the Neb coaching staff as “looks like Tarzan. Plays like Jane”. This could be Malachi but I wish the best for him. In short - he wasn’t better this past season than the WRs that played. JMHO.

Another example - top 100 recruit Ed Morrow in late 80s/early 90s.
His lazy route in the endzone cost us a W his freshman year. The QB got blamed on this board for the INT but multiple former players said it was on Coleman.

the coaching staff rightfully got the most criticism for that play

didn't help that the QB in question called his own number the play before, ignoring the play call

I wish I could say which play this was but it happened multiple times to multiple QBs, so… too many options.

purdy INT on the goal line vs maryland.

no other NU QB ignored a playcall and ran his own (per Rhule in the postgame presser). just purdy.

the INT was 100% on the coaching staff. preposterous call in that situation, same result as Week 0 with the same concept. just flat out idiotic.

purdy (and coleman) aren't blameless, but they should've never been put in that spot even though purdy made an extremely me-first glory hog selfish decision the snap before.
