The "rift" between the teams is much larger than just this issue. Frosty allowed football player/s to sexually harass/assault volleyball players without consequence. The volleyball team has carried the entire AD from a prestige standpoint now for years, and they know the inner details of the corruption and degeneracy found in the football program that leads it to being the worst in power 5 despite massive external investment. A team as bad as husker football should never garner the attention they do, the stadium should be 1/4 full but they are reaping the success of the greatest team in history combined with the greatest consistency ever in a state with nothing to do. Watching the football team strut around north stadium over the last 20 years has to be the most pathetic, embarrassing, dissonant phenomenon I have ever seen. They are coddled like children and then get ripped by fcs.

The “more to the story” is that multiple VB team members have been pissed about the differential treatment the athletes have received since being on campus the entire summer. The training table incident was just another example.

Actually, the more to the story is that the training table was closed for repairs and the football team paid for the food from their own budget. I guess the football team should have paid for the food for everyone, huh? That would have been the only fair thing to do.
