Latest Bracketology....

. Things will change a ton before Selection Sunday but just from watching the team play it's clear they belong.

Hence the problem. The average fan only watches Nebraska and whomever they play. Has anyone faithfully watched Syracuse? UCLA? Louisville? Texas? How does our play look compared to the other bubble teams. Many fans......and I'm not saying you......look at the records of the other teams and see the losses. Then they want to use the "eye test" for Nebraska saying how good we look. Well that only works if you are playing quality teams and most of the dynamics that measure how good the teams we are playing aren't helping our cause.

Another comparison that mutes the pundants like Lunardi and Palm

Everyone keeps comparing this B10 to the 2011-2012 Pac 12... And another guy compared this Nebraska team to Creighton in the 2008-2009 season

So lets compare 2017-2018 Big 10 vs 2011-2012 Pac 12 vs 2008-2009 MVC

These conferences look SO comparable

Those matrices are difficult to use to compare year to year. All of the calculations are made based on that specific year.

It is similar to recruiting rankings or Drafts year to year. The best player in 2017 may have been the 7th best player in 2016.

So you disagree?

I don’t necessarily agree or disagree because it’s pointless. The matrices from 2011-12 have absolutely no bearing in the calculation of any of this matrices for 2017-2018.

The 2011-12 could have the worst season ever and all of the teams sucked, yet someone had to be the best. Or maybe the 2017-18 Season is the worst.

The point is the matrices are designed to calculate information from only one season and rank teams based on that one season.

It’s like arguing who had a better season Oscar Robertson or Russell Westbrook. It’s great to have the discussion but saying Westbrook had 25 assists against the TWolves doesn’t proves he had a better season is wrong.
