As of today, Kusche has the #4 time in the mile, #5 time in the 3K and the NU DMR relay team anchored by him is #21. The 1200M leg runner DeSpong has a 1:52 800M PR and 4:04 mile PR. That team can qualify if Kusche and DeSprong get near PR mile pace in the 1200 and 1600 meter legs, but they would have to find a fast field.
Saw the interview with Kusche. He really like running in front of the home crowd. He will have to pick between the mile and the 3K at nationals. If he stays the entire four years, he will be the greatest mid-distance runner in the school's history.
