I love the Cornhuskers haven’t had any threats so far this year. We’re good at every facet of the game, at least so far.
My prediction is that Illinois kicker, Olano, has a great day. 11/11 on PATs. 6/7 on FGs (missed 1 over 50 yarder).
I think we win by 10, but this is the best environment for Alvano to prove his worth. We win on big plays, grinding the run, or defense. But a kicker is needed in B1G play. What a way to show your worth.
This is 1 of 4 things IMO.
1. We prove our style of play can beat you in too many ways.
2. Alvano makes 2-3 FGs to bump us up from 1 to 2 scores.
3. We save the day with big plays… pick 6, scoop in score, deep passes.
4. We lose on not finishing drives and poor kicker play.
Long story short… we win big with opportunistic plays… making clutch kicks…
Or lose on not finishing drives that should change the scoreboard.
***A couple made FGs may end the drama early***. Alvano is pretty damn key IMO
