Curious if anyone has been following his twitter. I have noticed he was obviously a Hillary supporter and has expressed his disappointment about her not winning. That is all fine and understandable. 2 msgs jump out as of the last 12 hrs. " Im so different, nothing like them". " Video coming soon" Could this be a clue to his change of heart to come here?

This could obviously mean nothing at all related to his future with the huskers. I just know many people are very very vocal on this election result and many making bad decisions as a result. Am I way off on this?

I highly doubt it has to do with him switching from Nebraska because of who's president. I only saw one tweet from him the other day took it as he was a Gary Johnson guy.

Can I ask why you are following/reading every tweet of a high school senior? Looking for clues for whatever seems a little creepy.

You must know nothing of what Twitter is. lol I "follow" him not because he is a highschool senior, but because he a Nebraska recruit. So do thousand of other husker fans. Anything he puts out there comes across mine. Thanks for your valuable input thought.

My take here is that you are reaching. By quite a bit in fact.

I haven't seen anyone as committed as he is in a looong time, and I don't think this election will change his mind. He can be disappointed about the election and that is his right. But I just don't see him not coming to Nebraska.

I think it is more likely that he is hinting at his imminent move to Canada.

I agree, not on the Canada thing but that it is probably nothing. I just have seen some stupid stuff as a result of this election. So nothing would surprise me. He is one recruit Nebraska must keep.

Agree.

And the Canada thing was tongue in cheek, btw. :)

Just seems strange to me that you follow him close enough to post on this board asking if the presidential election is causing him to make a bad decision. The kid is 17-18 yrs old. Kinda creepy IMO.

It's interesting that the fanbase cosidered by virtually everybody to be the nicest in the country is located in a state that voted overwhelmingly for Trump. Win or lose, Nebraskans treat others from opposing teams or viewpoints largely with respect.

pfft...100% disagree Dingle. If they treated differing viewpoints like they treated visitors, then I'd agree. It's a nice thing to want to believe, but I know what I've seen here and living in NEB. Differing views are met with fear and labeling, not openness...

My post here will be a great example. I didn't bring up politics like you did but if I responded with something like "Lincoln and Omaha went Clinton" I guarantee I'd be the one that gets the warning/banning. Hmm....

GBR

Just not 1st year coaches (unless they have no resume and played here of course)

I don't think it's a great idea to advertise Nebraska politics to California kids, just as it is not a great idea to advertise how lily White the population is outside of metro Omaha.

Great thing about this country, your entitled to your opinion. Again, learn about twitter before you comment how it works. Thanks again.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure where Nebraska falls in the political mix. I think he has a pretty good idea who Neb voted for this election. Hence my question. Man some of you take this stuff to personally.

Wow. Lot's of enlightenment and tolerance right here. I hope to some day learn how to be like that.

Perhaps he means he's not like the protestors taking over the streets of LA, Oakland and elsewhere, shouting horrible things about our next President and the people who voted for him. Surely, he knew at the time he committed from his many visits to Lincoln and attendance at games the nature of the demographics and political spectrum in Nebraska.

Have lived in 9 different states. I would say that exact statement applies to many people I have met in all 9.

And you don't even need to go further than the headlines in today's news to see that this is not limited to my experience only (people protesting in the streets over the outcome of a presidential election or too paralyzed with fear to take a mid term test) to see that it applies in places like California and on the campus of Yale as well -- places where people are supposedly "enlightened" and are "tolerant" of others.

Someone with differing views from them got elected and that's the reaction.

People reacted in a similar manner as well (less the street protests) when Obama was elected.

No it is not because someone with different views got elected. I have multiple different views than HRC, and she is far from my ideal candidate. What I highlighted in Red is how "you view" how other peoples views are, and that is "not" how they actually are.

Rubio, Cruz, Carson, Kasich ect... are not going to cause this kind of uproar. The man has a mouth on him, and it scares the living s*** out of a lot of Americans

Get to your nearest safe space. And remember, take nice deep breaths.

Keyshawn is a Husker with a great future. Besides after being in Nebraska for 6 months he will see how well a republican state is run and turn conservative

The spoiled child syndrome was going to come out no matter what if their choice didn't win. It's like watching a group of 3 year olds throw a tantrum after they didn't get what they wanted Lack of discipline in their life is probably where it all started.

I don't wanna shock all of you too much but this one involved a whole nation full of pissed off people going to the polls and being very sure it was UNACCEPTABLE to allow the other candidate to get elected, and however it went down, about half the people were gonna be really pissed off about it.

I guess some of you weren't around for the epic effing meltdown that went on all over this board around this time in 2008. Jesus, you'd have thought we needed to dispatch somebody to do well checks on some of the posters when that January '09 inauguration rolled around.

I see MOST of you survived it.

I have to ask, what did you think about Congress for the last 8 years in comparison to how you describe these students?

Are you comparing a conservative congress not passing an opposing parties liberal agenda to a bunch of idiot's rioting in the streets and throwing temper tantrums?

You're a smart guy, but if you missed the poll numbers and other public opinion, this was considered the most petty, pissy, good for nothing, etc. Congress perhaps ever. Blocking an agenda is one thing, but the GOP Congress mastered the art of obstruction to the point they've created the instruction manual for Democrats to replicate over the next 4 years. This isn't hyperbole, it's fact.

I will say it's possible the kids' behavior that seems to bother you was rooted on how this Congress behaved when they couldn't have their way. Petty...

Not sure legally using the political system to block or "obstruct" the opposing party's agenda is on par with riots. But that's just me.

It's probably more damaging when extremely excessive, hence why you see the nation more and more polarized.

I'll take a burned out bus over 12 years of ineffective petulant government any day of the week, that's just me and it's cool if y'all disagree.

So if the Dems attempt to utilize those same tactics, I assume you will be voicing your displeasure with the tactics and not saying well the GOP did it for 8 years so it's ok.

Obama got away with whatever he wanted!! Where the hell have you been? The RINOs were in his back pocket. Illegal executive orders, a treaty that didn't go through senate...on and on...they did nothing to stop his agenda!
Are you high?

I like a govt that doesn't do shit. Our problem is a govt that gets involved too much, ruins everything it touches, and then is sent into "fix" it and the govt grows and grows and snowballs downhill. Republican, Dems, all the same they don't give two shits they just want power, and trump has come in and gives them all the jitters
