Ok, was driving for about five hours and could not respond but a couple of things....
Miles is not elite ... not even close
In fact I’m not sure he SHOULD be our coach
But your last statement is just plain wrong and numbers bear it out... taking their last jobs....Weber is 55-53 in the Big 12, Miles is 46-62 in the Big 10... call the leagues somewhat of a wash.
Weber had his best records with Frank Martins players14-4 first year)... miles had his WORST record with Sadlers players ( 5-13)...
Adjusted those seasons... pretty similar.
Miles is NOT far and away worse than Weber.
Simple.

We’ll have to agree to disagree

The goal of any program is some degree of national relevance ... the only way that is achieved in college basketball is post season accomplishments not meaningless regular season win-loss records

The two resumes aren’t even close

And my point to you is that HIS National advancements came with other people’s teams... very good teams.
This years team is his outlier... as it might be been Miles

the southern illinois team he took to the sweet 16 wasn't with someone else's players ... and even if we are just going to compare what you believe are outliers the resumes still aren't close

one's "outlier" gets you to the elite eight, the other's outlier gets you a 5 seed in the NIT and a first round exit

you think if Miles gets fired in the next year or two he immediately lands a power 5 head coaching position?

I agree Weber isn't elite by any stretch.... unless you compare his coaching resume to Miles

It’s ok - we can disagree. Polarizing topic

Best.

My last shot... and it IS polarizing... is that the KSU people HATED settling for Weber... and many still do

Don’t give a rats A$$ about KSUcks, glad they finally lost and done with. I’d hate to see and or hear the KSUcks fans and there mouths if the made the final 4 or even won the whole thing.

K-State made the dance many times and has won in the tournament. Has Nebraska ever won one game in the tournament? If you want to win, tell Moos for Miles (Men's Basketball Coach) to report directly to him and not to an assistance AD.

This is a false narrative. Weber recruited all these E8 players. He also recruited all of last season's youngsters and NCAA teams at schools before.

He's been to the NCAA tournament 4 of his 6 years in Manhattan. Frank Martin has been to one in six at USC,e.

Dana Altman left Manhattan because he had worn out his welcome. In retrospect, that was a huge mistake for K-State. Frank Martin was essentially run out of town over NCAA concerns. And Hugs went home to his alma mater, WVU.

K-State had two awful coaches after Altman left, Tan Tom Asbury who had been successful at Pepperdine and nice guy Jim Woolridge an NBA assistant.

Your teams seem to be getting better with time. I can say that from an occasional look-see on BTN.
