Okay, I may be paraphrasing a bit...

Due to weather and travel complications with the K-State baseball program returning to Manhattan from last weekend's series, Nebraska's midweek matchup at Kansas State has been moved to Wednesday, March 9.

First pitch between the Huskers and Wildcats is set for 4:02 p.m. on Wednesday at Tointon Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kan.

Wednesday's game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Huskers Radio Network, Huskers.com and the Official Nebraska Huskers App for both iOS and Android devices.

It's weird because Tuesday is supposed to be warmer.
I can only assume they wanted to push the start time up but didn't want to play earlier on Tuesday for some reason? Not sure what their travel issues are/were.

I think it snowed in Manhattan overnight. They probably could use an extra melting day.

Thanks, you've saved me a lot of angst tomorrow.

How we're not prepared to light up a dude that hasn't broke 86 thru 6 hitters is beyond me. He's carving us up with majority FB's.

Hada hey, it only took us 8 of 9 hitters to figure it out. Good for Jessen, RBI oppo 2B.

Yeah, weird we couldn't get a bat on him the first time around. He certainly doesn't seem like he's got incredible stuff or anything.

Either Griff didn't touch 1B or the umps are worse than the TCU weekend. The replay clearly shows the ball not in the glove when Griff touches 1B, assuming he actually touched the bag. Bolt's WTF response was awesome though.

This looks like the de facto game thread. May not even need the one I just created. haha

Nothing like having a busy day at work to see us losing to K State 5-1.

Is Bob Homolka umpiring this game? There are some bad vibes at Tointon Family Stadium affecting the NU defense.

Officially concerned.
Need to find some JUCOs or portal transfers to play OF next year. The OF position is 40 for 159 with 7 extra base hits and 51 strikeouts. And outside of TCU, we haven’t played good competition at all.

Outfield was a big concern heading into the offseason last year. Not having midweek games to allow for guys like Sartori to play really hurt as well. I do agree we need to find a transfer if possible during the offseason. Hopefully a guy like Chick can get into a groove to help out a little more.

Jessen & Anglim are dang good pieces to build around. True freshmen & redshirt freshmen so we have to take some lumps with them for future return. Chick has been horrendous and Banjoff isn't too far behind. Those guys have to produce at a much higher rate.

We're not done either. We're after a JUCO MI, originally from the metro area, plus an interesting portal is early in the process. It'd give us a much needed LH bat option in the IF.

I'm more interested in portal guys, but this IWCC snag should grab everyone's attention.

I'm no mathematician but how are they going to make this huge recruiting class work? By my count we have 15 (and counting) incoming recruits and only 9 seniors (8 of which could come back on a Covid year).

As of today, I count 13 guys that won't be back for 2023.
