That play was sad. But you don't know that CT still wouldn't get hurt in this game. We all knew it'd be sooner than later.

Honestly, I'm surprised he's played this long. And that Mickey or Whipple didn't see this and have a legit backup QB plan is rather inexcusable...

QB, O line, backers, D line. I’m not sure he and Chin recruited many P5 level recruits. Smothers would have probably been pretty good in Tom’s offense. Not so much in Whip’s

IF Whip had been a little more committed to the run before Casey got hurt we might have been able to keep him upright. Illinois was just pinning their ears back and going after him with no concerns.

We drop him back to the same spot everytime.

He needed to adjust to the ball but he was too busy getting a side eye peek at the safety. Could have been thrown a few feet further but you HAVE to catch that one.
